Democracy at it's finest. Strange that these folks wouldn't even be allowed a hearing. I guess you only a voice if the white man majority want to hear you.

There WAS a hearing on this bill, but the only one's who were allowed to speak at it were those "wonderful" people from the Eagle Forum. Anyone supporting the bill weren't permitted to speak. So Democracy in Utah is alive and kicking and running much as it always has.

Yes we Utahn's really have lost what it is to love one another! And in this case it is the children who suffer! I stood face to face with Walker and was assured that he would not table this! And now I hear just the opposite. Oh I can feel the love (sarcasm). The fact is my children (and others) are here and deserve equal rights. This is not about the opinions one holds due to their beleifs, customs, or religion.... this is about equal rights and benefits to all of those in our community!

I have a lesbian daughter who currently has custody of one of her ex-partner's children--ex-partner was pimping out her current partner and had set up a myspace account getting ready to start with the 11 year old daughter.
I love my daughter, but her constant changing of partners, the unstability of her lifestyle, isn't condusive to the good of children. And she is the most stable of the group she has been associated with!
I can sympathize with the desire for children, but still believe children need a mother and a father and that the traditional family is a more stable home for children.

They shouldn't allow gays to adopt children. I wish there was more of these correct laws across America.

The unfortunate part is that Representative Walker agreed with many families to send the bill out to committees. This bill protects children and is NOT about gay marriage at all. When will this state catch up with the rest of the country.

Why would we want to open up this can of worms? Massachusetts has only had one problem after another--one cost after another--because of their pro-homosexual programs and laws. It is wise to maintain the status quo on adoptions. There is nothing wrong with the current system that incorporating homosexuals to the mix would resolve.

A married man and woman is the best situation to introduce children into. If that situation is not available, then a stable, single person is logically the next best solution for our society to work through to find homes for these poor children.

Thousands of women abort a day. Thousands of children die every because of domestic abuse, or worse. Why not let these homosexual couples give them a more peaceful life. They want to form a family, so many children need one, it just fits! Leave them alone. Think about how many children could be saved.
