I guess this is going to be a monthly story now because the LDS teenagers to this same thing every month as part of their religion

If he was hungry for pizza...

...he wasn't hungry enough!

If you're trying to gain empathy with the truly poor, perhaps being hungry enough that the old burger in the dumpster looks tempting, might prove a better point?

Wow

Of course this would be turned into a superiority contest by the LDS community reading this article. That is just sad. It is not about who can do it better. It is about trying to do what Jesus wants us to do. Feed the poor. This event is helping by raising money to do that.

To Wow

I think you missed the point. The fact is stuff like this goes on all the time regardless
of denomination. What rose kids did is great because they did as Jesus would do. The question is why single out one group when many are doing it? The difference perhaps is some just don't advertise it to get recognition.

Famine Fan

Maybe the point isn't to get recognition, but to raise more awareness. If more people were aware - TRULY aware - I'd like to think that our country would step up and really address this problem once and for all. Clearly there is still a need for that, with more than 10 million children (yes, CHILDREN) dying every year form hunger and related causes.
