Here's hopin' no other rumblers like this come along any time soon. Keep your chin up, Wells!

That guy in the photo, Dave Ashby, has one seriously huge bandage on there. I hope we all see how serious an earthquake can be.
trauma??? | 6:51 a.m. Feb. 22, 2008
I just loved the part about those working in the "legal" brothel were traumatized. Funny they should be so traumatized about a fairly minor earthquake, and not at all bothered by working in a Great and Spacious brothel, legal or otherwise.

I understand where the citizens of Wells are coming from. I survived the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake and even the smallest vibration caused me to freeze and wonder "How big will this one be." The night after the earthquake I slept outside because I was afraid to go back in the house, even though there was not a lick of damage except for a few knick knacks being tossed off shelves (earthquakes are funny that way). If any one in Wells is reading this, don't worry, the aftershocks will end and you will rebuild.

Well, at least no one was hurt.

It amazes me how far away that quake could be felt! I live in Logan, and we could definitely feel the shaking. Good luck, Wells Nevada!

I'm glad that no one was seriously injured or killed. But I got so tired last night of all the local news coverage!! Did nothing else happen in the world yesterday? If something serious had happened in Salt Lake, all the news reporters would have been in Nevada! What's the big deal that "it was felt as far away as Salt Lake"? So some people here felt a little swaying. Most people didn't. I'm sorry for the damage that Wells sustained, but, come on, SLC news! Get on with the news!
Fema who? | 11:38 a.m. Feb. 22, 2008
Perhaps the big news is that they didn't sit around waiting for FEMA.....

Imagine that!

I am sorry that you felt that way about the news coverage...for those who knew people in Wells and couldnt get there, we were very appreciative of the news coverage. If you didnt like it, turn the TV off. Wells is a small community with some great people. I am so sorry they have sustained as much damage as they did. Hopefully the gov't funding will come through...GOOD LUCK WELLS

WHERE IS FEMA!
Sarah, I have been to Wells | 9:11 p.m. Feb. 22, 2008
For those complaining about the coverage, I live in Missouri, but have family that live near Wells. On our local news here, they said that NO ONE LIVED THERE, that it is unihabited and that it caused no major damage. Isn't that nice. I wish that OUR local news had decided to actually be truthful in what was going on.
