And all I know...

Utah was BEATEN!

U Coach..?

Utah coach seems very emotional. His "scary faces" are possibly better used on Oct.31st...? Personally, I thought it was a good game and players on both sides did some great things. Best wishes to both in the future.

Cougar Blue

Go, BYU.

BYU Fan

I wonder how long they can keep it going at home. Congrats to the Cougs!

Hawk

Great game with good sportsmanship and lots of emotion, just the essence of college sports.

False

BYU lost at home to Michigan State and Oklahoma State over the past two seasons. Oh wait, I guess they were on a neutral court...there are just as many fans of MSU and OSU in Salt Lake as BYU. My bad.

re:False

Thats cause when BYU knows they are going to lose, they schedule it on neutral courts...

re:false

What a stupid comment. The MSU and OSU games were on neutral courts because both schools refuse to play BYU in the Marriott Center. They want a series but don't want the nightmare of having to play BYU on a court they seldom lose on. Check your facts before making dumb comments.

Big Deal

Why don't the Cougars just save everyone the hassle of having to travel to the Marriot Center to play there, and just pencil yourselves in wins for the rest of your home games. The refs will guarantee you a win, anyway.

I thought...

I thought MSU stood for Mississippi State and OSU stood for Oregon State? Well it's good to see those fans represented too...We're so happy for ya! Stephen Jackson was a pretty good running back at OSU...

BleedsRed

Man, you gotta love our coach, though! Dude gets 'fully invested' in the game, eh? He is going to transfer that passion to our players, and next year we are going to, well, probably lose again. But after that--yeah, we'll be back.

BYU beat Ok St. when they played at the Delta Center. They lost the return trip to the 'neutral' court in Oklahoma.

Utah sucks

"Thats cause when BYU knows they are going to lose, they schedule it on neutral courts..."

Are you serious?? Apparently you dont know anything. Michigan St. refused to schedule BYU unless they played on a nuteral court...

Idiots

RR

With only two home games vs. AFA and Wyoming, I think their streak will be safe after this year. I think BYU hosts UCLA next year, now that will be the game that tests the home court.

Let's get the facts right. On Jan. 4, 2003, BYU lost to Oklahoma State, then on Dec. 6, 2003, BYU beat them, who were #3 at the time. That was the same season BYU pounded USC.

PeanutY

As I observed the game, Boylen really gets his players to play for him. However, I asked the NBA scout seated next to me at the game if he felt the same as I, that all the jumping, hand signals and shouting were a distraction to the Utes - not allowing them to play the game without distraction. He said: "Absolutely!" As far as the disparity of fouls, Utah could have been whistled for a lot more because they were playing very tenacious defense. I sit right under the basket and could see it clearly.

Texas Cougar

To "False" and "Big Deal"- Say whatever you gotta say to feel better about your team's four game skid against their rival. The only thing worse than having a mediocre team is watching your rival thrive.

Michael G

I couldn't help laughing at Big Deal's complaint - after having read the following comment on this site BEFORE this game: "I can't wait to see BYU get smoked in the first round of the tournament...and then the fans will blame it all on the refs, it'll be great." Well, thanks Big Deal. Your comment just made the victory that much sweeter!
