Really interesting situation here. Messing with ones memory is very tough issue, as memory is not perfect. I think we all know that.

About two deaces ago a gentleman wrote a series of books detailing satanic ritualistic child abuse, always involving sex. One of the books, Wind Swept House by Malachi Martin, became a quick best seller.

The odd twist to this story is that Malachi Martin is a Catholic priest and was a very close confident of then Pope John Paul II. His books were handled as fact in the form of fiction. Fiction in that names, etc had been changed. He felt that he was exposing a very dark side to humanity, certainly the evil influences that roam the halls of power.

This book turned up in many so called sex abuse cases. Probably the most famous was the big one in Spokane, WA in which a police investigator arrested 20-30 adults, really ruined lives all based on the words of his step-daugher, who alleged it. In the end he was fingered for basically 'leading the witness.'

My Dad was a police officer and he taught me to always weight the facts, and expect surprises.

Very Interesting!

So is Snow still under investigation or am I to read this that there had been probes, sometime in the past, that were dropped, again sometime in the past? They certainly need to be pursued.

Another truly badly written Deseret News story. The author doesn't really tell us anything. What is the point of writing this story? I would have to make my ninth-grader rewrite a story written like this before I would let her submit it to her English teacher.

This is the strangest article I've seen. The title makes it sound like Barbara Snow was involved in the convictions of the sex offenders and that there's something new to learn possibly about those offenders. Then all-of-a-sudden it mentions at the end that the allegations against her of planting false memories were dropped - without even telling you in the first place that there were allegations.
