SJ Police Victim

Too many harassment victims in South Jordan. I know many. Many because of race. They have a very bad reputation. I am not a criminal and have been pulled over and accused 2 times for things I did not do and ticketed. This was after having a clean driving record.

The police here are professional. Twenty five percent of the people they pull over are arrested for parole vioaltions, warrants, weapons violations, and drugs. I am glad they pull people over, to keep our neighborhoods safer. I am sorry that some feel it is too much. I have lived here a while and never had a ticket, and so what if I did.
If you look back a few months ago the Deseret Morning News did an analysis of personal and property crime rates in Salt Lake County, and South Jordan was the safest city. So keep up the good work SJPD!

Re:South Jordan Resident

BUZZZ! Not all the police! The victim above you is right. I filed a lawsuit against SJ police years back and won. For sexual harassment. It happens often and I know lots of people.

I think you may have had a problem back then, and I feel horrible that one officer treated you poorly, but you cannot refute my logic or statistics. SJPD keeps the problems from other communities from spilling in to ours.
BTW, what on earth is BUZZZ! supposed to be about?
South Jordan still has the lowest property crime and the lowest personal crime of any municipality in Salt Lake County. Period.
Means someone is doing there jobs.
I was once stopped and dragged on the ground in handcuffs in Oakland CA in a case of mistaken identity. Did I have a case? Yes. Did I sue? No.
Why? Because they were doing their job, and made a mistake. I was harmed, but I knew it wasn't permanent. I forgave and forgot, and I am so grateful for the job police officers do.
I still stand behind the men and women of the SJPD.
