Booo! I love Snelgrove's. Who else makes Canadian Chocolate?
I hope they keep Snelgrove's recipe of Burnt Almond Fudge... it's better than any other brand's recipe.
Got to keep Canadian Vanilla!! One of my favorite treats after dinner, or after a date was to stop at Snelgroves, get a sundae made with Canadian Vanilla, toasted coconut and hot fudge. It had a name, but I can't remember it now. I don't particularly care for vanilla, but I LOVE Canadian Vanilla. Sorry to see Snelgrove's Ice Cream disappear.
Ohh....the burnt almond fudge was the best =( Now when I return to SLC I won't be able to get it.
If anything needs to be taxed in Utah, it is ice cream. Lets say a dollar a scoop to be allocated to education.
I grew up in SLC and was a huge fan of Snelgroves...back to the days where they also made their own chocolates / candies..they were the best! Burnt Almond was my favorite ice cream, though so many were very outstanding.
