Why he's as phony as his smile..only his kind are all over Utah trying to
tell people how to be. How can he be honest in all his dealings when he spouts
off as if he is given carte blance..as an elected official. and annonymous you
act like you drive the bus! Just be careful no one chokes the heck out of you ,
like the lady on the UTA bus!

Way past time for him to go---he does everything he can to drive the wedge
between groups in Utah even deeper. Funny to see that the DN doesnt mention
that it was Senator Ross Romero that called out the bad behavior to Senator
Valentine---otherwise he would never have apologized and this would have been
swept under the rug as has everything else up on the hill. I was a Repub for 20
years, but now realize that only the Dems are on our side here in Utah. Just
look at the great work Mayor Cooroon has done BEING the fiscal conservative,
while all those up on the hill just try to pad their "re-election"
funds---that can be used to buy anything they want...including their new condo
down in Saint George!

people of West Jordan are stupid. If I remember right, a guy named Rocky ran
Salt Lake City for years, and I don't think everyone in Salt Lake City is
stupid.

Is it too much to ask for Republicans to be as shrewd in speech as they are in
preying on fear? I mean, yeah, these guys are pretty clever a lot of the time.
They get elected. But, I mean, what's with this weird bravado? Can't
they speak a tad more carefully and diplomatically? What a terribly ignorant
thing. We are what we say, unfortunately. So, watch out Messieur Buttars, you
black dirty ugly thing you.

If the glory of God is intelligence, and we're supposed to be searching for
light and knowledge, boy, this Buttars character ranks right up there with a
neutron star on terms of blackness. Sheesh.

Not everyone in SLC, but everyone in the rest of the state all thought the
people of SLC were stupid for electing Rocky Andersen...
I still think they were, because he was Mayor.
If they were electing a SLC citizen to overlook the affairs of washington and the world, it would have been OK, but he was here to overlook the affairs of SLC.

So the man can't meet with the people he insulted but he can run for
re-election. He must know that the people in his district will "wink
wink" at what an embarassment he is. Would that be because he represents
them more than we care to know?

it will put him and the legislation on display! The good ol' boy system is
taking a jolt on this one! Maybe it will expose all the secretive meetings they
have on the hill as this guy was central in that circle..making deal after deal
...rewording after rewording...oh wording , well that's what started this
whole mess. Buttars you do have a purpose after all! You are the
"Chucky" of the group on the hill! Just wind him up and he will speak
, what he is programmed to do!

Know what? I can't vote for Buttars because a) I'm a South Carolinian
and b) I'm not old enough, BUT-
I am glad he is not letting this stupid "racist" thing get in the way of his career. Though I'm not sure if I'd support him as a candidate, I'm not opposed to him running again.

I've known Senator Buttars for 14 years, never have I heard him say or act
racist --- during this time he worked with many minority boys at the Utah Boys
Ranch as its executive director --- if he were racist would that have happened
????

I think the whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. Looks to me like

am down with Personal Computers as if it were up to you ..there wouldn't be
any!And big deal you can work for any minority business or serve in that
