In response to "A Lesson in Diversity," let me point out a cartoon at mormonmormon (dot) com that addresses the limits of diversity in the Church.

The Arables are sitting on a bench, their famous pig resting on Mr. Arable's lap. Mrs. Arable says, "Yes, dear, Wilbur is just like one of the family. But, no, he can't go on a mission."
