The All Star Game is Deja Vu to me.

Paul, Howard and Bosh were in Hong Kong a year ago.
Howard made a baby slam and Paul demonstrated the Skill Challenge to the crowd but it looked like a game for the kids. However, to be able to play this game to perfection is another thing, especially against the best PGs.

Now that D-Will has proved he is one of the best, let's do it again in the rest of the season.

Go D-Will, Go Jazz!!!

"Way to go Deron"! It's victorious to hear about positive achievements obtained by beautiful young Black men as opposed to negative things. Your story should be headline news in every inner city in America. Keep lifting our young Black children up!

"Well done Deron, Well done" We love you! An NBA title can't be far off now.

Let's see now--D-Will won a title, but "unfortunately" it wasn't the real title. And D-Will won when Paul "stumbled" on his second run. Paul didn't stumble on his first run and D-Will's best time exceeded Paul's best effort. The negative tone is unbelievable--Williams performed fabulously, breaking the past time record; do we need Sloan's approval to compliment individual players?

The crowd sure was disappointed that D-Will punked their CP3 again, this time in the Skills Competition on his own home court. Almost every time they go head to head D-will comes out on top.

Although this was just an exhibition, I am glad D-will did not give the pundits another opportunity to blather on about CP3.

Setting an all-time Skills Competition course record did not hurt either!!

Way to represent D-Will!!!

The victory was so sweet. I am so glad. Victory as well as all time record. And that against CP3... awesome!

Success is the best revenge....and DWil is doing it just right with dignity and focus. Go Jazzboys!!!

DWill punked PWee3.

The sweetest part of this of course the fact that he broke Nashs old record and Nash is still one of the best in the league right now.

So will the CP3 lovers shut up now?

Dwill owned him on the court when they came to town and last night in the skills challenge.

Although Stockton never delivered a title, Hornacek delivered two of them (3 point shootout).

Kidd - not a good shooter (and it showed)

Wade - not motivated at all (and it showed)

Paul - not clutch (and it showed in the final round)

Williams - competitive, motivated, great shooter, great all-around skills (winner!). Oh yeah, and his team will be playing deep into the playoffs while the others won't.

Wade won't be in the playoffs, but that's a pretty quick dismissal of two of the best teams in the west (Hornets and Suns)...define deep in the playoffs. There's still a lot of basketball left to be played this season.

This just proves why D-Will should have been an All-Star

He's proved it twice why cant they get the point?
utah_man18 | 5:40 p.m. Feb. 17, 2008
I think "Anonymous" at 3:27 might be confused- Jason Kidd plays for the Nets and not the Suns. I might have even accepted calling Kidd a Maverick, but please explain what you mean when you suggest that the comment preceding your own is counting out the Hornets and the Suns.... Oh, and he's right in counting out the Hornets anyway. Come playoff time, Paul will get his numbers but David West will be unmasked as a very poor all-star selection and I just hope they run into the Jazz along the way (easy series for us, like GS last year).

I'm watching the all star game right now, watching Iverson turn the ball over 8 times in the first half. It's a travesty that Williams isn't there instead of this horrible ballplayer.

CP was the best PG in the all-star game. If DW is even close to him with Boozer, AK, DW Jazz should have the best talent. Sloan still cannot win championship..

Does it bother anyone else that Kobe was too selfish with his injury to step down as a starter to let someone like deron williams step in as an allstar? What a puts.
MACIII | 3:45 p.m. Feb. 18, 2008
Stanlism, Kobe tried to get out of it, but the NBA didn't let him. If you ask me, the NBA was selfish in not letting Kobe back out so that Dwill could get the playing time.

cplover, have you paid attention to basketball the last 3 years, any time d-will has the chance he proves he is a better guard than cp3. how bout when your boy came into champaign in 05- no love at all

The "Williams delivering a title that Stockton never did" statement is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in print. Putting aside the fact that he won a contest, not a title (which nevertheless I am very pleased he won, and DW is going to be a wonderful player for many years), last time I checked, Stockton held multiple "titles" - All time assists leader, alltime steals leader, most assists in a single season, most consecutive years leading the league in assists...

If they're going to consider his win in the skills challenge a title, then all of Stockton's accomplishments should be considered the same. And frankly, DW, Booz, Memo and AK have a darn good shot of getting a REAL title in the next few years.

I understand it was a joke, but it wasn't amusing in the least. It was idiotic.

The NBA has a rule if a player participated in his team's final game before an All Star game in which he is voted a starter, then he has to start the All Star game or he becomes ineligible to play in his team's first game after the All Star game. Kobe actually wanted to skip the All Star game and rest, but that would have meant he would have been ineligible for the Lakers' game against the Hawks. He actually put his (Lakers) team first by playing 3+ minutes in the All Star game and then calling it a night. I understand why the NBA has the rule in place, as the fans voted the All Star game starters they wanted to see. If Kobe's injury had been really serious, he would have skipped the All Star game and more than likely sat out against the Hawks (and subsequent games), too.
