An excellent article. Hopefully, it will be read by many who would benefit from the examples many of the children of presidents have set. One of my favorites is Theodore Roosevelt, Jr., who fought in both World Wars I and II. On D-Day, 6 June 1944, after three requests, he was allowed to lead his division onto Utah Beach. His leadership there won the day as the troops were led beyond the beach to make some of the best gains of all the beachheads in Normandy. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously as he died of a heart attack just five weeks later, probably because of his physical exertions during the Normandy campaign. In the movie "The Longest Day", his part was played by Henry Fonda.
