Jazz kicked it up a notch

Maybe the Jazz could get Isaiah Thomas to come coach. He's a player's coach and look at how good the Knicks have been since they put him in charge.
Isaiah Thomas not a good coach at all. He hasn't done anything to the knicks franchise since he has been in charge. Just let you know the Knicks are 15-37 this year dead last in their division and 2nd to last in the Eastern Conference. I think they need to get a new coach.
I would prefer it if the Jazz stayed out of the fiasco and practice so they can be ready for the rest of the season and position themselves for the playoffs. I think this Jazz team can win it all this year. Everything in the West could change at any moment with ho tight the standings are. They might even be able to obtain the #1 seed in the west if we win some key games.
Go Jazz!
As a Jazz fan you have to hope that Isaiah isn't replaced. I hope they give him another contract extension and continue to allow him to run the team into the toilet until we get their first round pick in a couple years. I don't know about you but I hope they are 2-80 in 09'-10'.
I'm from Hong Kong China, but I voted for Jazz players. While Yao may not be the best player in the league, he must be good enough to receive vote. Think about the like of ZZ Wang, Yi...they were not even on list. So please give China a break.
The All Star Game really is a different game than it was in old days. But it is a fun event for the players. As long as players have fun, most fans have fun, let there be All Star Game.
After all, there will be 4 Jazz players in the game. When was the last time we have that many???
Go Jazz!!!
Anthony
I think you might have missed my sarcasm there buddy. I was teasing all the sloan-haters. I was using Isaiah as an example of the "Players" coaches that the sloan-haters want to see here.
Great stats, just a little gullible.
Yes lets Get Isiah here and fast with assistant coaches Karl-nuggets/Nellie-Warriors. Then we need to speed up our tempo and get some flashy players that talk trash and would rather get an alley-oop jam than a win. Anyone threating the paint will be sent to the floor. And any sort of ticky-tack foul they didnt draw must be met with consistent whinning. Before each game the players will jam out like Rasheed and the Pistons. There will be open media arguments between players and the coaching staff. I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!
Rockets, mortars, bombs hitting and going off in the middle of the night.....no sleep period !
Thats COLD SWEAT .
"SOME GAMES"? 18-3 as of December ! Again the very negativity of the FACT !
3 losses = SOME ! 18 wins = a BUNCH , SlowN
Why was'nt it , A very nice string of wins for these guys , hope WE can keep on going in this direction .
SLOAN has never won the championship coaching. Big
deal he has good regular season coaching record.
He has not won a championship here in Utah. Malone and Stockton carried this team for over a decade. Now
Boozer, Williams are the carrying the team. I do not
like Jerrys foul mouth and I do not like it with
his berating of players during game time. Do that off
the court Sloan. Mark My words the Jazz will never
win a championship under the coaching of Jerry Sloan.
So Phil Jackson must be the greatest coach in the NBA based on your argument? Of course it doesn't hurt that he will only coach if he has super-stars on his team. Maybe Pat Riley then? Of course he stepped in after a different coach developed the Heat and he won the championship.
Your problem is that you only have 1 criteria for judging whether or not someone is a great coach/player. Do you also think that Robert Horry is better than Stockton and Malone? Do you think Eli Manning is better than Dan Marino? You have to judge a few different things besides # of Championships when making that call.
Another thing to remember is that it's not all on the coach. There's also the GM who brings players in and out. The owner (in the Jazz's case has been a detriment to his team).
Sloan consistently gets more out of his players than other coaches do. Look what happens to players after they leave the Jazz:
Byron Russell
Arroyo
Malone (I know he was old)
Even Raja Bell hasn't gotten much better than his break-out season.
Sloan aint perfect, but definitely not worth firing!
Wow, you have to be the smartest guy you know! I guess you can slant anything you want. What about the stat that has the Jazz being one of the youngest teams in the league (inexperienced). Or maybe the stat about having the most 2nd round draft picks on their team. The Jazz have over-achieved consistently year in and year out. Every year the actual nba analysts (unlike you or me) predict the Jazz to be a mediocre team because they have had mediocre players since Stock/Malone. And every year they over-achieve.
I'm not trying to say Sloan is the best coach in the NBA. I've got a lot of issues with his style and decision making. But he's definitely a coach you keep around as long as you can. If you get rid of Sloan, who are you going to replace him with? You have to find someone who is willing to live in Utah (based on history, that's harder than Utahns imagine it to be). You also have to have someone who can put up with LHM which is another huge obstacle. BTW Chambers and Horny were old men when they came this way.
