Road triple: Boozer nabs first career triple-double in win

Jimmy also noticed Hart didn't get into the game, but wasn't sure if that was due to his back flaring up or coach's decision. Jimmy hopes for the latter.
1 - the game wasn't even that close (15 point lead), so why have the booze in right up until the very last second?
2 - that last assist to Price? Come on....
3 - I didn't think Sloan cared about stats but they ALL new what was going on with less than 2 minutes to play.
4 - Booze hasn't been doing so "all star" like lately so maybe this will be good for his ginormous ego - not to mention something nice to add to his tags on his FERRARI (3x2).
THE JAZZ WILL TAKE NEEDED REST
THE JAZZ WILL BE READY FOR THE WARRIORS
RP WILL GET MORE MINUTES
RP WILL NEED TO PLAY TOUGH D ON ELLIS AND DAVIS
THE JAZZ GOT THE WARRIORS # JUST LIKE THE SAC QUEENS HAVE OURS
As for not counting the triple double; are you serious? Who cares if everyone knew and wanted Booz to get it? He deserved it. Last night was one of the best team-effort offensive games I've seen in a long time. We should be congratulating Booz, not complaining that a PF dished out 10 assists.
The 2x2 is just like the 4 minute mile. A year or two after that happened it was news. Today, if a track runner can't get under 4 minutes they're not on the team. So Boller, lay off the 2x2 and wait till they get close to the 3x2 or better yet, the 5x5. Almost switched to listening to Hot Rod...Boller call the game and just hope Booner has something of relevance to add.
To the guy complaining about Double-Doubles being worthless, I have to disagree. Boozer is ranked #3 and D.Will #9 in Double-Doubles. Neither of them play more minutes than most of the premier players on any team. So to score a Double-Double on a consistent basis is more telling of a player's ability than being able to get a 3x2 once or twice a year. Williams and Boozer are both consistent players, and to average a 2x2 is indicative of that.
THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT D-WILL SHOULD GET THE NOD. IF WHINEU GINOBILI GET SELECTED OVER D-WILL ILL BE VERY UPSET!! HOW DO THE CAVS BLOW THAT GAME TO THE SPURS??
CROSS THE FINGERS FOR D-WILL
I was a little disappointed that it took the jazz so long to put the sonics away. While Memo was a beast down low, we could've used his (and Korver's) 3-bomb.
Congrats to Boozer. However, I'm still waiting to see the intensity he had last year in the playoffs emerge this season.
Are you kidding me. Boozer's triple double is as ligit as Lebron's or Kobe's. If he played the enitire game like they do i'm sure he'd get more of them.
It's a great time to be a Jazz fan. BTW, I hope that the Kidd-to-Dallas trade somehow goes through. Harris is more of a problem for the Jazz to defend than Kidd would be. Lakers and Spurs look like the biggest playoff competition for the Jazz.
I remember in the State Tournament, East Anchorage was picking Juneau-Douglas apart with a ferocious full court press.
After a few time outs, Coach Houston did a desperate thing: he put Carlos at the point guard position!
Did it work?
Well, yes and no.
Carlos always beat the press and got the ball safely across the timeline, but then he passed off to a teammate who would go on to turn it over, or who would put up a dumb shot. Without Carlos scoring inside, the Crimson Bears couldn't win anyway, so east took us down.
At any rate, Carlos has passing and play making skills that he hasn't been called on to use with the Jazz, but he's got 'em, and ain't afraid to use 'em.
This won't be Carlos Boozer's last triple double, providing his teammates will finish.
Jimmy. Jimmy owns this blog. Everybody leave Jimmy alone because Jimmy owns this blog period! You others are all importers and nobody writes better blogs than Jimmy does except for my best friend Timmy.
Give me Steve Brown over Bolerjerk any day of the week!!!!
Please define what a "true fan" is once and for all.
You and your fellow sloan lovers prove my points again and again. You fail to bring forth facts supporting sloan's tactics and instead revert to name calling. Congratulations, you are a big man.
Go Jazz!
I can't listen to him for even 10 seconds without laughing at either what he is currently saying or I remember something he had said in the past. For instance, one time when he was a co-host on 1320KFAN, he was talking about some opposing player the Jazz were about to play. He said he was very fast and athletic, etc. and that Stockton has a hard time guarding him. His comment was that you can't coach that, he said "that is, that is, um, that's inbred". I about choked when I heard that. I think he was trying to say this player's talent and athleticism was genetic. What a dope.
He is very handsome, however.
So, as long as the team beats a team that won't be in the playoffs, no criticism is warranted?
And, just what have I "whined" about? The Hart/Price controversy that is getting air time by commentators? How about Boozer's up and down game that has also been discussed in the media?
Where do you get off telling people they are a fan or not? What do my ticket stubs mean?
Love is blind.
Denver's announcers are Bill Walton bad, while Portland's and Sacramento's announcers are much more homerish than Boler/Booner. I tried to watch a different NBA game last night, I think it was the Lakers-T-Wolves game, and those announcers for Minnesota were terrible. The new Lakers broadcasters are definately not as good as their predecessor (one of them used to announce beach volleyball for heavens sake).
Memo and Brewer to Seattle for:
Delante West and Wally Sczerbiak
This way the Jazz get another grate outside shooter with Wally and a good back up in Delante West. Memo and Brewer are expendable.
Another idea:
Ak and Millsap for Jason Kidd. The money wood match up, but again the Jazz coaching staff does not have the guts to pull off a dill like that. the last won I will sugest is:
Brewer and Millsap for Charlie Bell or Carlos Arroyo (who killed it when he was here) and a 1st round pick. That gives the Jazz a stable back up point guard.
Until the Jazz staff gets some guts though dills like that will never happen.
DID ANYONE NOTCE HOWEVER THAT THE BOONER HAD HART KEEPING HIS JOB, BUT AT FIRST SUBSITITION, OUT CAME RP....BOONER WAS A LITTLE SPEECHLESS AT FIRST, BUT RALLIED TO SAY HE REALLY DOESN'T KNOW WHAT JS IS GOING TO DO......YA THINK....
RP BASED ON A SMALL SAMPLING OF GAMES HAS BEEN TERRIFIC...I THINK JS DID A GOOD JOB OF MAKING THE SWITCH...HE STAYED WITH HIS "YOU DON'T LOSE YOUR JOB TO INJURY" MANTRA LONG ENOUGH TO LET HART PLAY HIMSELF RIGHT OUT OF THE LINEUP....
LASTLY, MY MAIN MAN MATT HARPRING NEEDS TO WORK ON HIS FREE THROW SHOOTING....GOSH, HE LOOKS LIKE A STICK MAN ABOUT READY TO FALL DOWN WITH EVERY SHOT...MATT, COME ON BUDDY, YOUR BETTER THAN THAT..
I saw that Boozer had a triple dubble last nite and it got me thinking of the best power forwurds in the league. Heres who's in my fav five:
1-Al Jefferson (very under rated, double doulbe per nite)
2-David West (his numbers speak for themselfs)
3-Rasheed Wallace (could be the best player in the league if he wurked harder)
4-Zack Randolph (tough to defend and hits big shots)
5-Kenyon Martin (when healthy he is the best pf defender and he is getting his game back on)
Hon. mention
Kevin Garnett-never won the big game
Carlos Boozer-in five years no one will remember his name
Elton Brand-injured two mutch
Tim Duncan-He is a center
Amare Stoutimire- He is a center
If you were the Jazz GM, I could no longer be a Jazz fan. All 3 of your trade proposals are horrendous. Carlos Arroyo? You mean that guy who refused to play within the team-oriented system? And Wally "I flop as much as Sam Cassell" Sczerblah? Memo is as good a shooter as he is; and he won't draw the big men out of the key like Memo does.
And you want to get rid of Brewer and Millsap? For the wife-beating 40 yr old? Great move dillweed (or to support your spelling "Dealweed").
Charlie Bell is decent, but not worth giving up two young promising guys with a boatload of potential. You might want to keep your day job pal.
Someone is easily influenced by the media and commercials. "5-Kenyon Martin (when healthy he is the best pf defender and he is getting his game back on)" --makes me laugh the most, although most of them are pretty funny. Take care.
But we all know it's not them. You are not fooling anyone.
You don't sound like them, you don't talk like them,
you don't spell sloan like them, you don't talk about the subjects they they talk about. Your posts don't even look like their posts.
It even sounds like you are up making many posts and having a conversation with yourself.
Did jimmy and jazzsmack break your brain?
Just go away you are making the forums on the jazz miserable for everyone.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? A triple double is a triple double, could you get a triple double in the NBA? I don't think so. Lay off Boozer, he is awesome, probably one of the best in the NBA. Dream on about that triple-double being a joke.
