Congratulations Utah! Finally there is hope for proper justice. We have needed this legislation for so long. I hope Utah citizens step up and study out the candidates before election. Note the recent resignation of the Highland City Justice Court Judge. I'm glad he's gone. I witnessed him asking the city prosecutor for advice on court room procedure. They need to require a training course these JC judges. The judge in Wasatch County, a former member of the parole board, was caught overlooking case facts in lieu of clerk opinion and sentenced an offender based on false information, which was later changed. These are just a few examples of the corruption that comes from lack of eduction, failure to keep proper records, a disregard for the law and justice, corruption of power, and most of all, no accountability. Judge Ridge is one of the best JC judges in Utah County. Others could do well to follow his example.
