Way to go Millard. Lets keep the winning tradition going. You guys work hard and have great coaches. Bring home the GOLD Eagles....
uintah qulified 27 too
would get more attention if they would win state more often...
GO Eagles you guys are awesome! Wrestle tough, smart and show what great athletes you are.
It's a shame that delta and millard can't combine there schools even thought they are twenty miles apart. They would still be a small 3A schooln and would totally dominate everybody in the state in wresteling. That being said good luck to all wrestlers at state.
To the comment Uintah would get more attention if they won state more often. This is absurd! They have 23 state wrestling titles to their credit , second only to Delta, 26. Wasatch on the other hand has 17 with 18 coming this year. It is interesting to mention that Wasatch had only 5 titles until 1993 with 12 since then. Delta on the other hand had 17 titles from 74 93. Uintah had 19 state titles from 68 92. During the Delta and Uintah dynasty years the local news didnt give much press about wrestling. But ask a Uintah or a delta fan it was a different story. The sad truth is wrestling is a who cares sport among most of the sports fans in Utah. Uintah and Delta still have strong programs and great traditions but they cant compete against a school like Wasatch that repeatedly attracts kids from other schools such as was the case this year.

If Delta and Millard combined we would dominate 3A in almost everything not just wrestling. Both football teams were successful this year and so are both basketball teams. Wrestling of course would be no contest.
As it is we find Millard county is represented well in both 2A and 3A by being kept seperate. Good work Delta and Millard.
i dont think delta and millard will ever combine schools, Millard does really well in 2A in football and wrestling and delta competes well in those sports also in 3A, but it's tough for delta to compete with the schools that are twice there size year in and year out, good job to the rabbits for being very competivtive in 3A sports.
Way to go Millard! Good Luck at State
I was just trying to get a rise out of Uintah fans. Uintah has a great tradition and I agree that they would have had more recent success if it weren't for the transfers that Wasatch' success has attracted. But it has been nine years since Uintah has won...
Good Luck Wayne! Take 1A just like in 2005
Jon Moore of Brighton Highschool is by far the best wrestler in the state. Possibly the nation.
Wayne last won in 2006. It's not gonna happen this time though, maybe if they'd had better fortune with the injuries. Looking at the brackets, Duchesne is the big favorite to win it all.
I think box Elder will stay close to MC at the 4a tourny, but I think MC will still win it. I wish when it was all over this weekend that they had an over all state championship next weekend so we could name a single state champ in each weight. Why isn't this possible or is it possible?
Who is Jon Moore? apparently not that great...
on top of all these comments are the eagles dominating at the sports that really matter. they have the hardest working kids in the state and probably the best coaches also.for 1 wrestling and football are by far the most athletic sports in the state they test the kids mentally and phisically.and anyone who has seen these kids work would obviously know what im talking about. they dont stop pushing till their at the top of their game. and what sports really attract the fans besides them 2. these kids work hard for everything they get. BRING IT HOME EAGLES!!!
Good Luck Eagles and Rabbits at the State Tournament. Just remember talk is cheap and each one of you needs to compete at your highest level to bring home the trophy. All of us here in Iraq will be cheering for you make us proud.
Thanks for your service! Great to hear that you are able to keep up with Millard athletics.
Let's not forget the basketball team which easily became region champs and now heads to the State tournament. Could we get to the championship game 2 years in a row?
Has there ever been a small town school that has won a state championship in both wrestling and basketball in the same year? I thought it was great that they won in wrestling last year and placed 2nd in basketball. Both sports compete at the same time and for a school with only 200 kids to have enough athletes to compete well at both is a tribute to our kids and coaches.
What up new kid? : ) It's good to hear you are keeping up with Millard Sports. Thank you for everything that you've done for us. We will always be grateful for what you are doing for our country. We all miss you! Thank you again.
Love, Jumbo, Mike Wardle, Kylie, and Sierra aka your little dirt bags : )
