Cwood parent

It so good to finally get the word out, just how much these coaches care about school and doing things the right way. My son played at Cwood he didn't get a scholarship but the lessons he learned from these coaches about discipline and going to school will stay with him the rest of his life. Good for keni I hope he uses his second chance wisely.

Good luck where ever you end up, Keni (hopefully you will end up at Utah).
What ever happens, keep working in school.

CUTTER

There is a saying "Work hard and you will see the rewards" Remeber life is to short so do the best you can. Hope you keep up the good work.

Wondering

Does anyone know what "prefered walk on" status is?

RE: Wondering

It means that you have a guaranteed roster spot on the team without having to prove yourself in a tryout. Basically, all the perks of a scholarship player, none of the money though.

Keni, good luck in making it to DI. I'm a bit skeptical about it, so let's hold off on the "I'm going to DI" talk before you actually get there. Good luck though. Graduate and all of those options are open to you!

preferred walk on

it means they get an invite to training camp automatically and dont have to attend the initial walk-on tryout to try and get an invite to camp. its basically your on the team but(if your good) you wont get a scholarship until your junior year

To Wondering

Prefered walk on status mean the athlete would be on the team without a scholarship. They are basically a walk-on with out having to try out. The athlete would also be responsible to pay their own tuition. As a "prefered walk on" the school will give them a scholarship as soon as one becomes available, say if another athlete leaves the team or is dismissed.

I believe the Utah basketball team just gave a schloarship to the Sharp kid who was planning on attenting the school as a prefered walk on. The scholarship was made available when Steven Weigh quit the team to play professional basketball in Australia.

Hollywood

<Generally it means that the university is out of scholarships to offer, but if one opens up, the player with "preferred walk-on" status is next in line to receive one.

Stay focused, keep up the hard work and positive attitude Keni!

Snow Job

Sounds like Snow college would be the best bet in this case. There you can prove that you are serious about classes and become eligible for the D1 life.

Snow job is right

Why would you want to waste 2 years in Ephraim if you can get it all done and go to The U, or Colorado, or .......

Git er done!!!!

Go the to U

Then BYU will clock you!

perhaps

You could follow in Simi Fili's footsteps and go to a JC in Arizona. What a great job those CW coaches do on academics.

perhaps you

could worry about yourself and quit hatin' on everything and everybody.

simi's going on his mission and then we'll see what god has in store for him on the field and off of it.

is that alright with you?

Fika Tolu Fan
