I guess Huntsman, like Huckabee, is looking to get in McCain's good graces so that McCain will appoint him to his staff once he's elected president. John McCain worries me because I fear he'll pass his bills that increase gas by $0.50 per gallon, increase our utility bills by 20%, and grant amnesty to illegals for a small fine of $3000. Not to mention he screwed up campaign finance. This is not the resume of a true republican. I'm not saying that Romney is any better, but McCain is a wolf in sheep's clothing. At least Romney has a clear plan for the economy, Iraq, and illegal immigration.

have strange bedfellows. How is it that the Little General Mc Cain and Jon Huntsman get on so well?????
I can not warm up to the little GUY from Arizona with the crazy, outspoken mom AND who wants to get into the fray of Iraq and command the forces.

The Governor is ambitious, thinks McCain will win and will take Jr. to DC with him.

This does not surprise me, since both McCain and Huntsman are RINOs-Republican in Name Only. McCain would be a disaster as a President and Huntsman is only looking to his future prospects. Neither represent "The People" only the special interest groups who provide money to their cause. Politics as usual.

Huntrman is never on the right side, to bad he is the sheep in wolfs cloths.
sarah | 8:02 a.m. Feb. 4, 2008
Huntsman wants to go to Washington with McCain. He will be disappointed because McCain will never be able to compete with Hillary or Obama. McCain should retire.

I voted for Huntsman but never will again.

I am apalled at Gov. Huntsman, McCain seems to be a little out of touch with reality.
Fenix Fan | 8:19 a.m. Feb. 4, 2008
I have a lot of admiration for Mr. Huntsman. He's a dear man and his kindness and generosity to others is rarely equalled. In this case, I beg to differ on his choice. McCain has no goals, objectives, initiatives, agendas, milestones, metrics, or TIMETABLES for Iraq; private among leaders or public. He just anticipates that we'll be there forever. He is a sad choice.
Rich glitch | 8:55 a.m. Feb. 4, 2008
Could it have anything to do with the fact that Romney has a ton of money too?
elviejo | 9:03 a.m. Feb. 4, 2008
It doesn't bother me that Jr. exercises his agency and goes for McCain. It only bothers me that he is stupid enough to do so.
JJ | 9:06 a.m. Feb. 4, 2008
If McCain gets the nomination, then we will have a democrat in the white house for sure.
Duckman | 9:25 a.m. Feb. 4, 2008
Has Huntsman Jr. ever been on the right side of any issue.

It's sad when a governor is so out of touch with those who elected him.

McCain is the right choice, at his age he will likely be a one term president. If there wasn't so much bad blood between flip-flopper Romney and McCain, Romney would make a perfect VP Candidate and could run in four years - after he flips a few more flops.

I wasn't a Huntsman fan before, and I am less of one now. He is just another politician hoping to feather his own nest.
Anonymous | 9:40 a.m. Feb. 4, 2008
Go McCain! Send a democrat to the Whitehouse!
disillusioned. | 9:52 a.m. Feb. 4, 2008
The governor is not the man his father is. This is just one of many evidences of that fact.
Deth | 10:09 a.m. Feb. 4, 2008
Another example of Huntsman being out of touch with Utahns.
Peter30 | 10:58 a.m. Feb. 4, 2008
Will McCain Make a POW out of the USA?

How many more men and women will McCain sacrifice in Iraq to preserve George Bushs War Legacy? Will McCain surrender our borders to Mexico through his Open Border Amnesty philosophy? Will McCain surrender your wallet to special interest groups and entitlements for illegal aliens? Will McCain surrender Pro-Life views with liberals and partial birth abortions?

Will you surrender your vote for McCain on Super Tuesday?

Now we know who Huntsman REALLY is and stands for !
He ought to be ashamed of himself supporting such an
old man who has a history of bills that are bad for America, and who has a wife that is in the Beer business. I thought Huntsman was more intelligent than this !
Steve S | 12:42 p.m. Feb. 4, 2008
All of these comments show that Utahns are paying attention, even if they aren't saying a lot publicly. They will get a chance to respond in the next state election cycle. I am one Republican who was attracted to Huntsman before he won the nomination because his campaign literature touted his opposition to driver's licenses for illegal aliens. We all know what happened on that front. Although I worked as a volunteer in his campaign, I won't even vote for him next time. Once a fool...

A vote for McCain is a vote for Mitt Romney. The two of them are just a liberal as Obama and Clinton.

This country needs a conservative. Mike Huckabee is the only conservative candidate.

George Romney walked out on Barry Goldwater's convention speech and had passed his communism down to Mitt.

Go Huckabee!
Jason | 2:36 p.m. Feb. 4, 2008
Like his endorsement actually means something. Come on people who cares, vote for whomever you want. Damn could you imagined if people jumped on your back and criticized you for supporting a specific candidate? Chill out and vote for RON PAUL! He's the only true conservative.
Kim | 10:16 p.m. Feb. 4, 2008
I find it to be very interesting that Huntsman endorses McCain. I don't think he fools very many people though. Huntsman is a true politician and he has been promised something from McCain. McCain has been marred with scandal and poor choices throughout his life. Even his wife was caught stealing drugs from her own charity. I think you are seeing the ugly green monster of jealousy rearing its ugly head in the case of Mr. Huntsman endorsement of McCain.
