I remember the first sunday after President Benson died was fast and testimony meeting and a few people said whoever the new prophet may be. Itneresting if you go to church all your life don't you realize the president of the twelve stands next in line to be prophet? Elder Packer touched on that today saying that is how it will be done.
So senior apostle has to be President of the church how the lord revealed it from peter james and john and our dispensation.
I think I will use the phrase "President Monson and the twelve" in testimony meeting today. We are currently lead by the twelve as the churh was during the initial migration from Nauvoo to Utah (although it was late 1847 when a new First Presidency was formed, so most of the migration to Utah, even by those who were in Nauvoo, happened after the first presidency was reconstituted)
This apostolic interregnum will probably be a lot shorter, but I will speak of it as much as possible while it lasts.
