I am grateful for the example Gordon B Hinckley set for the members of the LDS church. For his leadership, kindness, candor, and delightfully cheerful disposition. I am deeply grateful for all that he did and was in this life. I know that he will do great things in the next realm. Until then, he will be missed by many.

How wonderful for you Saints that can attend
the funernal of our beloved President Hinkley.
The rest of us wil attend either @ Stake Centers, designated meetings houses, or the Internet to watch the proceedings. Our hearts and prayers are we those who will speak and those in attendance.
It's my prayer that "this celebration" will open
the hearts and the minds of people all over the World. We are a better people for having known this
Good Shepherd!!!!!

I wish I lived close enough to have provided cups of hot cocoa to those dedicated and loving saints who stood in line for hours in the bitter cold to show their respect and appreciation for our beloved Prophet.

As a Catholic, I remember how gracious the LDS Church in extending condolences upon the death of
Pope John Paul II. I woul like to take this opportunity to express to you my sadness at the death of your beloved Prophet. May President Hinckley and John Paul enjoy discussing doctrine, while we as mortals mourn their passing from us. My deepest condolences to all members of the LDS Church on the passing of this wonderful bridge builder. Requiem in Pacem !

As a convert since 1972 it has been my extreme pleasure to be taught at President Hinckley's feet through the media of television, radio, the internet and periodicals. He loved all of us. I always felt that love through his words and deeds. He is a great man, a great leader and a great Prophet. The world and the church will always love and honor his legacy of service. We love you President Hinckley.

President Hinckley was my Prophet and the Prophet to my sons. ( Ages 5 and 2 1/2) They are my Strippling Young Warriors and I pray that my boys will grow up to be the kind of example as President Hinckley was to us all and may we all be inspired to be more vigilant in our daily progression back to our Heavenly Father.

The lines for the iPhone, which weren't needed are reminiscent of the lines for tickets to this iFuneral.

it is ironic that people wnating to honor Pres Hinckley ignored church counsel and stood in the cold all night when asked not to come until 7am

I think that if people want to show their devotion to President Hinckley by standing out all night they can. I have camped out all night to be in line to get BYU football season tickets, then left and come back latter in the day. This is a much more noble thing to wait for in my mind, more power to them.

Les, thank you for your kind and sincere words about our cherished Prophet. While we mourn the passing of these great leaders - we know they are in a better place and do indeed live. May the bridges that have been built remain strong and the friendship between our two faiths grow stronger.

It took me longer to get to Salt Lake than I actually stayed, but some heart felt prayers finally got me on a plane on my second day of travel to make it to the Funeral. President Hinckley's Spirit and Testimony changed my Life for the better! Thanks to him and His Family who had to share him with Millions of others. I miss him tremendously.
