You've always got to find a way to put down BYU, don't you? Of course, no other team did anything wrong to violate rules...only BYU, right?

Not only once, but twice. Very classless writing.

It's funny how his elbow was bad enough to warrant a suspension but there wasn't even a foul called during the game.

Mountain West officiating is a JOKE.

For the record, I'm a Utah fan but I'm not defending or condoning what he did. He did throw an elbow and deserves to get suspended.

Stop being such a crybaby. The article didn't just pick on BYU; several other teams and their players' bad acts were mentioned as well.
What a martyr... | 10:19 a.m. Feb. 1, 2008
To "Please"

The truth hurts, doesn't it!? The article gave several instances of unsportsmanlike behavior by multiple schools (including BYU), so don't pretend like you are being picked on. You are like the school bully who goes crying to mommy when somebody has the guts call you out. You must be delusional to think that nobody at BYU could be guilty of dirty play. Get over yourself and your "perfect" school.

It's a sad day when coaches do not have the courage to suspend players who blatantly break the rules, whether at BYU, Utah, or anywhere else.

Drca's play was despicable.
I wonder.... | 11:27 a.m. Feb. 1, 2008
I wonder why the "victim" in this case also didn't get suspended? After all, he threw the first elbow.

I quote from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram: "'I hit [Drca] in the face going down, and he probably just retaliated,' Hackett said."

I understand that they tend to go for the guy who retaliated more harshly, and I'm OK with that. But if they're going to go back to video and review the game for possible suspensions, shouldn't they suspend both players?

It's Basketball, elbows are part of the game intentional and unintentional, remember our beloved Karl Malone?????

I elbowed my friend when I went up to cheer for Bryant's 8th 3-pointer on the day...

Did you fail to read the part about Wyoming, New Mexico, and Utah players recieving suspensions in the article? "Of course, no other team did anything wrong to violate rules...only BYU, right?" Sorry, BYU is not getting singled out. It is also painfully obvious that reading comprehension is not in the curriculum at BYU. I understand that you were probably in shock that the Desert News actually wrote on objective article for once.
