Stephenson's worthless "resolution" is a slap in the face to the principal of honoring and sustaining the law. He is putting the convenience of a cheep slave labor workforce above the rule of law. He is completely blind to the costs involved with harboring illegal aliens and his "resolution" is little more than a stall tactic until a more liberal leaning administration rams amnesty down our throats. Stephenson is a disgrace and should resign!

Stephenson cares only about the business owners (especially those who are members of the Chamber of Commerce) that increase their profit margins by using illegal aliens. I used to live in his district and he has always done everything short of standing on the Senate floor and announcing, "I am in favor of illegal immigration, no matter the cost to the citizens!" Along with the governor and almost all of the democrats he is a primary enabler of illegal immigration in Utah.

As an illegal immigration enabler, he along with most of the democrats and the governor are responsible for depressing wages for low skilled and entry level workers. Have you wondered why it is so hard for your teenagers to get part time and summer jobs? But then again maybe you think learning to work is not important and it is OK to play video games all day, because all you want is a cheap hamburger.

I am fed up with the invasion, And something has to be done to stop it. Jobs are going to illegals and not to the citizens. Vote for the ones that will stop the invaders from the destruction of America.

Senator Stephenseon's resolution is right on the mark. Fixing the broken immigration system can only be done in the national arena. Piecemeal attempts to on the state level will only serve to hurt our state, slow our economy, and negatively disrupt the lives of immigrants (legal and illegal from all over the globe) and natives alike.

The racist and bigoted comments are reminiscent of the "Jim Crow" laws of a prior era. The arguments were proven wrong then and are inapproriate now. I say, "Deport the bigots! Punish the racists! Penalize myopic thinkers!"

If you want to fix the immigration system, we all need to accept a portion of the blame and find a solution that is pragmatic, humane, and fair. Senator Stephenson has recognized that the system is broken, action needs to be taken, and the appropriate arena is the national delegation. Kudos to him!
