We were saddened to here of President Hinckleys death, he was instramental in mine and my husbands life in the church. My husband joined the LDS church after hearing the prophet speak at conference, and I will always love him for that. Its wonderful to know he has gone to be with his family in the celestial kingdom, my dreams are to be able to meet him in the most wonderful place we have to go to. Our love and prayers go to his family and friends and all our brothers and sisters. Thank you for allowing our family to express our feelings for a wonderful prophet that he was and always will be. I was baptized April 17 1992 and turned 15 3 days later. It was one of the best experiences of my life, but I have fallen away and been inactive since 2001 for lots of reasons. Im trying to get through some hard times in those years and hearing of President Hinckleys has moved me so, he was a big influence at my trying to become active again. His life is the biggest one for me and I want to try now to get what I had back. Thank you President Hinckley for your love of the church and all of us who are trying to put it back together. I am so sorry to his family and friends and I hope his words will bring me back to be able to call myself sister again .This would make my mother very happy and my Step father. The divorce was the problem and Im getting thru it now and with the help of the church and our prophets I believe I will make it. Thank you President Hinckley and my prayers got to his family and friends. Sioux Falls South Dakota 2nd ward. Please pray for me. Thank you
We took the youth of our stake to SLC last year and walked through the cemetary. It was an incredible experience to see the names of the great leaders of this church. 120 youth walking around mostly in silence was amazing.
I walked through the cemetery today and was really surprised at how many names I recognized from Church history. Seeing all the graves of the past prophets was a really great experience, I recommend everyone to do it sometime. It was really nice to see how many people were coming to honor President Hinckley by visiting his grave. Thanks for this article.
