I think the entire state and country are legally "crime free areas" already. Sounds kind of redundant to me. Just let the police do their job without all the whining about gangsters rights.

James D., I agree on SB75 - it's a dumb piece of legislation. But SB65 is a good one. Statistics show up to 83% of all gang members want to leave gang life as they get older & wiser, but a far lower percentage actually do because of intimidation and threats of violence from leaving. Maybe this bill won't help fix that, but it won't hurt either. We need to give these kids the opportunity to right past wrongs. While nothing can undo the poor choice of joining a gang in the first place, they deserve a second chance at becoming productive members of society.
