I was in Sugar House last weekend, doing a little bit of shopping at Barnes & Noble, and looking outside an upper-story window from the music section on the west side of the building, it looked like a nuclear bomb hit the place.
It's like someone ripped the heart right of Sugar House, leaving nothing behind but a big hole in the ground and faded memories. That beind said, I'll really miss the old Sugar House Coffee Companny, and the old Granite Furniture store with its really cool neon sign out front.
Happy to see things getting better in Sugar House. I live and work in Sugar House and I have been really sad about the crime and old ugly buildings. I think it will be nice to get new buildings and stores that will improve the area. The new plans look cool.
