Where I live in northern California (SF east bay area), *every* school has a *daily* homework club for kids who need it. It's a wonderful resource, and helps a lot of the kids. They have access to their teachers if they need them, and they develop good habits and skills.
The Park City club seems to be a lot more social and non-homework related, though.
