In the Lord's embrace

Tears of sorrow for the lonely void we feel, knowing that such a chosen son of our Heavenly Father has passed from this mortal existence--immediately followed by tears of joy brought from the Spirit comforting us with the knowledge that our dear, sweet Prophet has been reunited with the Savior that he has served so faithfully. I picture the Lord standing there at the veil, with His arms extended, welcoming His Prophet home, with President Hinckley's sweet wife right there, to share in the Lord's embrace.

Thank-you to your wonderful family for sharing you with the rest of us for all of these years.

Thank-you for strengthening my testimony and bringing me closer to my Savior, through your Christ-like example. I know you are a Prophet of God.

We'll miss you, but don't worry about us too much, we know the Lord is at the helm!

He lived a very good life...not many would reach 97 years old and have achieved and gave as much as he did.

I know that my Redeemer lives, Triumphant Savior, Son of God, - Victorious over pain and death, My King, my Leader, and my Lord.
He lives, my one sure rock of faith, The one bright hope of men on earth, - The beacon to a better way, The light beyond the veil of death.
Oh, give me thy sweet Spirit still, The peace that comes alone from thee, - The faith to walk the lonely road That leads to thine eternity.
Thank you President Hinckley for your legacy!

We love the prophet. He dedicated the Philippines in 1961 that's why he is so close in our heart. He also dedicated the Manila Philippines Temple.

We will miss you.

Our tears reflect the sincere gratitude that we feel for Gordon B. Hinkley. His pure example and love for the Savior, Jesus Christ will live forever in our hearts. May we all press forward with that same pure love of Christ. Let us remember to stand a little taller; for our Savior, for President Hinkley, our future prophet, and for each other.

President Hinckley was an amazingly spiritual, caring, and witty leader of this church. I have a hard time imagining what it will be like without him here to comfort and guide us as a worldwide family. I am forever thankful for his leadership. He made me a better person through his gentle and loving guidance. My prayers go out to his family and close friends and associates. We thank Thee, oh God, for a Prophet!

I am thankful to have received a most important lesson from President Hinckley since my conversion in November 2007. My life will never be the same and I will never forget him although I've known of him for such a short time.

Great Prophet and President of the church he was. Inspiring messages and counsels. I guess one thing he'll love to let us know is to "Carry on, Carry on", and yes we'll carry on the work. Much love from Ghana. Rest peacefully in the rest of the LORD.

Pres. Hinckley's whole life was one of service, and all of the measures he implemented in building God's kingdom are truly inspired and amazing. What a humble servant and what a great sense of humor! Thanks for everything, Pres. Hinckley, mainly your great example. Thanks to the family, also, for sharing him with all of us.

Although we never met President Hinckley personally, we love him as a family member. Being in the Conference Center with him, and watching him on the TV screen, we could feel his goodness and his love for us. There will be a big hole in our lives where he once was, and we will miss him. But, our hearts rejoice over the glorious reunion he must have had with Jesus Christ, his beloved Marjorie, and his parents!

I will greatly miss us wonderful man who played such a great role in my conversion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When ever I heard him speak. It always seemed as though he was talking directly to me. His ability to do this in the message he bore drew me closer to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ every time.

I will miss him and his impact on my life ever so much. I express my condolences to his family and friends and will pray for the comfort of our heavenly father in the name of Jesus Christ.

The impact of this wonderful man will be felt throughout the eternities. It has truly been my pleasure to know and love with this man.

The dead of a church's leader is ever cause of a deep mourning sadness.
But dead only takes the body to his silence kingdom.
Sapience and grace will remain living between those who were his disciples and friends.
And his effort for keeping growing christian doctrine, will remain living too.

When President Hinckley came to Snowflake to dedicate our temple, it was such a privledge to be there. He is such a sweet prophet, with a wonderful sense of humor. I think that's what kept the youth, so interested in his talks and listening to him. Several have commented on that. We will miss you President Hinckley, but are so happy that you're with your wife and others. Our condolences go to your family and friends here. Thanks you and we love you President Hinckley.

I feel as if my own grandfather has passed away. But what a life well-lived and what sacrifice and devotion he has shown to the church and the world! We have been richly blessed with his leadership and inspiration. He will be forever missed and forever in our hearts. Love and condolences to the Hinckley family.
