As a wordsmith he excelled. I have no doubts that he loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with an eternal love. He served the almighty and magnified his callings with a selfless attitude that truly resembled that of the Almighty.

I will always remember the message he received from his father while serving his mission in England: "Dear Gordon, Forget yourself, and go to work." I believe what he said that everything good in his life could be traced back to the moment he received that message and re-dedicated his life to the Lord.

His memory will long be cherished by the Latter-day Saints.

I am so sad! but i know president Hinckley is with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and is together to his eternal wife sister Hinckley.
Now we must to do all president Hinckley teach us!
Every time president Hinckley and all prophets of God will be in the memberships heart!

We'll miss President Hinckley. What a Christ like man he was. We love him and our prayers are with his family at this time.

We are so grateful for such a wonderful Prophet. He inspired us so much in our lives.We loved him so much.

We will truly miss our beloved prophet. It is through his example, love and dedication of the gospel that helped our family come back to the church. Our testimony has been strengthened by his fierce belief in the gospel and of our Lord and savior. Til we meet again President Hinckley!

I am so thankful for the example set by Pres Hinckley. He has inspired me on numerous occasions and I am very grateful for his wisdom. I find it hard to imagine getting as excited as I have before about going to Priesthood Meeting. I always looked forward to hearing him close that meeting with wonderful words of wisdom and counsel. On the other hand, I am so happy that he is now with his dear wife again. We love you guys!

We will miss you dearly! However, your examples will continue to live within us, in our personal and family efforts to become more Christ-like in our daily lives.

A great man has been lost. He will be missed.

You know, he is smiling now at all the attention. What a humble and loving man...a Prophet of the Living God. I am happy for him. He has lived an exemplilary live and fought a great fight in helping bring to pass all Our Father has in store for us. May we follow his worthy example

We add to those above our love for President Hinckley. He truly is a great man, a great prophet of God. We will miss him very much - his cheerful smile, the wave of his hand or cane, his quick wit, his faithful testimony, his service and love for all people. We are grateful that he has returned to the side of his sweet Marjorie and home to our Heavenly Father. His influence and love and faith have strengthen so many and our own family. His faith was constant as the north star- we knew we could always count on him to lead us closer to the Savior. Our prayers are with the Hinckley family, and with President Monson and his family. We know that He will be blessed of the Lord and strengthen as he takes this new call as the Prophet and President of the Church. Our faith and prayers are with you. This is the Lord's work and it will continue to roll forth!

A wonderful prophet! There will never be another one like him. What a loss for the members of the church, but I'm so happy that he is able to be with his lovely wife that he missed so much.

I feel like a family member has left us, he will be dearly missed.

I heard about the news via text message last night and didnt belive it. then i couldnt get on deseret news cause everyone was trying to. my aunt called from utah and at that piont i knew ut was true. I am really sad to hear of this devestating news. I am 15 and he is the only prophet i remember. a few years ago i had the chance to particapite in the sac temple dedication. and when the prophet spoke i was right there in the front row. right there and then it hit me and i have no doubt now that he was a true prophet of this church and will forever be remembered.

We never met. We never shook hands. But we new you and loved you. You were a friend to all and loved everyone just the same. You will be missed and we shall miss you! What a grand reunion for you and Sister Hinckley! Until we meet again. And we do "Thank Thee O God For A Prophet"
