The most important man in the world died today. We are so thankful for the life that Gordon B. Hinckley lived. He was funny, thoughtful and a great leader. I am so thankful for the knowledge we all have...we know he has many others waiting for him on the other side, but he will be greatly missed here.

I was baptized 6 short years ago. President Hinckley has been the only prophet I've known. I never knew before that someone could be so full of love, or that I could so love someone I had never met. I know he is glad to be with his wife, but I, and we, sure will miss him. I would have loved to shake his hand just once...

President Hinckley is the only prophet I have ever known. I joined the church in 2000. I got to be in the same room with him at the dedication of the Lubbock, TX temple. I felt his spirit and have no doubt he is/was a true prophet of God. This is both sad and happy. At least now he is with his sweet bride. He will be greatly missed. I loved him so much!!!

I miss you president hinckley. I never personally knew you, but you've always been a role model to me throughout my whole youth. Since I'm only 14, your really the only prophet I ever knew. I love you so much. I'm glad you're with your wife again, though. As I write this, tears roll down my face as I think of how you'll never speak in another general conference again. I will miss that. but your talks to the youth will always be with me throughout my life.
I love and miss you

I was so sad to hear. He was such a great and inspired man. I know that he is happy as he is reunited with his loving wife. It is even sadder to think of how many people haven't had the opportunity to know him and hear his beautiful and divine teachings.

We will miss President Hinckley.

All my life, I took President Hinkley's being there for granted. I knew he was there, respected him, but I never really realized the impact of him leaving, I'm terribly sorry for this loss

Pesident Hinkely, in his earthly life, was an example to all and contributed so much to humanity. One's words cannot adequately express his life accomplishments; an exceptional and remarkable Prophet. We love you and hope to be worthy to meet with you in the hereafter. Sincere thanks to President Hinkley's family for sharing him with the world. God bless you!
Thorne Family | 8:56 p.m. Jan. 27, 2008
The Lord has called home a great man and prophet. He was blessed by the Lord to guide his church during the most difficult time so far upon the earth. He fulfilled that calling with great humility and love for the whole human family. May he continue that work on the other side of the veil and may his family be blessed during this time of loss. We love him and will miss him, but look forward to see him again.

For most of our lives President Hinckley has been the prophet. He is the prophet that we had while we made the most important decisions of our lives. We appreciate all he has done and all the great revelation he gave and teachings. It is sad to see him go, yet a happy time for him to be re-united with his sweet wife. We love you President Hinckley and know that you are just entering another phase of our eternal progression.
