He will be miss a lot. The best way to honor his memory is by doing what he
taught. He is the prophet of my youth, what a wonderful opportunity!
It�s good to know the plan of salvation in moments like
this. We love you president Hinckley, thank you for your example and life of

This great man was not born for himself, his family, or his faith, but rather he
was born for the benefit of the human race. He will be missed by all whether

I'm going forth to serve in Zion, in the Missouri Independence Mission. It
was President Gordon B. Hinckley that signed my letter to go, and I will be sure
to honor his trust that I would serve honorably, by serving honorably. Gordon B.
Hinckley is the prophet I grew up to. I will always remember him as my prophet.
Thank you President Hinckley. Hurrah for Israel!

President Hinckley was a great influence to, not just members of The Church, but
to other individuals around the world. He will be greatly missed by everyone.
Even with this tragity in our life, there is also great joy. He lead a great
life, and now He is going to join His Eternal companion, because of this I am
extemely happy for Him. I love President Hinckley and will always remember His
great example. As a youth, this is pretty hard because He was the one Prophet I
grew up listening to and looking up to. Once again, I love Him and will always
love Him.

My 7 year old teared up when he heard the news of your passing; As did I. You
and your wife had such dynamic beauty and were truly a wonderful example to the
world. Thanks for being everything you were to so many people. God bless you and

As a non member of the church living in Utah for over 20 years, I can only send
my condolences to a faith that is in mourning today. President Hinckley was a
great man, and will be missed by millions of people around the world.

What an incredible example of Christ-like service and devotion was President

I was baptized in 1996, Gordon B. Hinkley is the only prophet I have ever known.
I have been to a few general conferences since I have been baptized, and I have
felt his spirit just by being in the same room as him. One of the people that I
felt that I needed to meet was Gordon B. Hinkley, but I know that I will meet
him and know of his spirit. I know that he was a prophet of god, and I know
that he is with his wife and heavenly father doing his work from the other side.
He is with all the prophets that have passed before him helping them do the
work that they still need to do. I know that one day I will be able to meet him
and know of his love. My prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends
in their time of loss. God be with you all during this trying time.

It is so sad that President Hinckley died. I was at A Youth Standards Night
fireside, and after it was over, one of the people in our stake presiency stod
up and said that he had just recieved confirmation that President Hinckley
passed away. And then we sang We Thank Thee O God For a Prophet, But barely
anybody sang because we were so sad.That is how i found out he died. It was very
sad because we were all so happy and having fun, but then boom, there came the
news.It was very sad. I loved President Hinckley. He was my favorite prophet. I
cant wait to see him in heaven!!

Our great prophet, leader and friend will truly be missed. His contribution to
the world was amazing during his 97 years here on this earth. I am so grateful
to have met him and his dear wife, Majorie and to have traveled with them for
several weeks. It will be something I'll never forget.

The DiGirolamo Family from Raleigh, NC was deeply saddened to hear the news of
President Hinckley's passing last night. After we got the phone call - we
went to the computer- and the servers were so busy - we couldn't get any
news for a bit. Finally - it went through - as I'm sure thousands of you
with us were trying to get some news of our beloved prophet. We mourn for him
- yet we are so happy he is reunited with his beloved wife. We truly
"Thank Thee Oh God For A Prophet". President Hinckley reached out to
so many-and he especially LOVED the youth of the church.
We are all better people because of his service and love and charity.
God be with you till we meet again.

While serving a mission in Alaska, President Hinckley spoke the missionaries and
I don't think I had ever laughed so hard. His stories and humor were the
best. He will be missed.

I was so sad to hear the news.What a wonderful man and the most wonderful
prophet. I loved him and I will miss him.I know he is so happy to be with his
dear wife once again.This makes me happy. I will always love and miss President

isn't as bad as you sometime think it is. It all works out.Put your trust

Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley Was the Prophet, with precisely the same authority of
Moses and Abraham and all the other prophets through the ages. A truly
remarkable human being has been lost, and I for one feel much honored to have
seen know him, I know I will truly miss him. I consider this personal loss as if
a family member is lost. He was a quiet man, but possessed such charisma, he was
so humble, kind and his legacy will remain in the church for some many
generations to come. He will be missed. All my sympathy, respect and I give my
heart and prayers to the family.

It's hard to be sad when you realize the joy he so richly deserves at being
reunited with his beloved wife. I just can't feel grief at knowing of his

What an amazing example of dedication and love for the Lord and his Church. We
have know President Hinckley all of our lives and have continually learned from
him, what the Lord would have us do in many circumstances. Our heart felt
support goes now to the Quroum of Twelve and their task to select the next voice
of this church. We send our absolute support and love to all of you. To
President Hinckley's family we send our condolence and love. He will be
missed by us and our family. An exciting reunion is now taking place filled with
excitement for all who have been waiting for this time in his life. Life goes

We can overflow with flowery dialogues that we love and respect our wonderful
President Hinkley, but to truly show him our love, we will follow his example
and the Lord's gospel which he taught (John 14:15). May we continue onward
as vibrantly as President Hinkley did and "go forth with new energy,"
as he encouraged. Let us love our families and neighbors, let us magnify our
callings, let us open our mouths and share the gospel.
Isn't it wonderful to envision the sweet reunions on the other side? We are so blessed to have the gospel and know that death is "really a step forward in Heavenly Father�s plan."

What a blessing President Hinckley has been to us and the world. We are so
thankful for this prophet. We know he is busily engaged in the next world with
his loving wife and family members he has been separated from. We pray that we
will someday get to shake his hand and tell him how much he has meant to us.

He was a prime example of someone who wore himself out in service of the Lord. I
hope he takes a few days off before he gets crackin' on the other side. It
helps my sad heart to wonder about his reunion with his sweetheart Marjorie, and
to think about his reunion with all of his beloved brethren who have kept the
faith so well, and who have served so well and diligently, like him. May we show
our gratitude by doing the same.

What a wonderful wonderful man!!!I did not know him personally but always felt
as if I did. He is the only prophet my children remember and oh what an example
he set. He will be deeply missed here on earth but what a reunion on the other

We truly do thank God for a prophet, especially Gordon B. Hinckley. He was a
great leader and lead not only those of the LDS faith, but the world to be
better people and fulfill the desires of Heavenly Father. May we rejoice in his

on us. The parting is bittersweet, bitter for us who stand to mourn his loss

I think it caught everyone off guard. Only a prophet of God could do what he
did at the age of 84-97 He traveled everywhere. He truly was driven everytime
he spoke he had a message. He will be greatly missed the work will go on.

Nothing can describe the tender feelings of our hearts as we have loved and
followed our Prophet these many years. He did prepare us that he would be
leaving soon and we do not mourn that he is gone but we celebrate that we had

I had the pleasure and honor to meet this Prophet of the Lord in the Salt Lake
Temple last year. He was a great man! In person, or on the T.V. he showed all
people great love. He grew up with my grandfather, so I heard a lot of fun
stories of their youth together. My father played w/ Pres. Hinckley's
children in the tree that is now the pulpit in the Conference Center. I was at
the Day of Celebration at the U of U when Pres. Hinckley spoke to the youth. I
am blessed to have been in his presence, under his leadership, and a member of
this glorious church at this time.

Our family was very sad to hear of President Hinckleys passing. He was a great
leader with a warm caring personality and a wonderful sense of humor. Even when
he was chastening us as members of the church he always did it in a kind and
loving way. May his legacy live on in the hearts of the people of the world.
Hopefully we will all remember the words he taught and continue to reach out and
befriend people of all faiths and recognize the ways we can touch each others
lives for the better no matter what we believe or what church we belong to. We
are all God's children and he loves us. Our hearts and prayers go out to

President Hinckley was more than just a prophet to the LDS faith, he was a
leader and voice in social and spiritual matters, in the local community, Utah,
the U.S., and the world.
He was a great man to people of all faiths, a true bridge builder.

Last night around 8pm I received a text that President Hinckley passed away. My
wife was looking over my shoulder and we both saw the news simultaneously. It
felt as if the world had stopped for a moment and then I realized how much more
I need to do. It is incredible how he inspired me even in his death.
