I find it hard to believe $185,000 is the total profit made after only one week of selling a substance such as marijuana and would urge the writer of this article to tone down the scare tactics and do more research into the drug economy. I work as a substance abuse counselor and spend many hours working with individuals who made poor choices that put themselves, and their families at risk. I hope as this case unfolds the evidence used to determine the outcome is substantial enough to support the accusations made of these three young individuals. Otherwise, I fear, these individuals will join the ranks of young people facing long sentences for crimes less damaging to our society than sexual assault, child molestation, or repeat DUI infringements. My question for readers is where do our values lie? And, how many truly believe marijuana is a gateway drug?
