Chilrens health care should be the responsibility of the parents except for the very destitute.. If the legislature wants to do something about reducing the cost of health care, the primary target needs to be tort reform and put a limit or cap on court settlements. That would take away the incentive for the greedy trial lawyers(ambulence chasers).
I agree with the other comment, when does the responsibility of providing health care belong to the government. Isn't that part of the responsibility of being a parent?
