Oh brother. Aren't these guys about three days behind Sen. Curt Bramble who already met with the leaders of Delta Airlines? And I see this silly little committee has a "legal counsel" who has contributed thousands of dollars from his company, 1-800 contacts, to the governor's campaign.

Nice, people, really, really nice.

This Utah government taskforce or committee appears to be really lightweight to have any influence on the results of the possible merger of Delta and apparently United. This could have a devastating effect on the economy of Utah should Delta leave. The incoming mayor of Salt Lake City does not have the credentials to be a player on such a taskforce to influence the outcome to save the hub. For the love of Pete, lets get some influential people who can be real players to achieve a favorable outcome.

Bob, so you are saying they shouldn't form a proactive task force simply because one Sen. already met with Delta. You're probably right, one Sen. meeting with Delta will probably be much more politically powerful than the governor, the mayor of the capital/most populous city, and the mayor of the most populous county.
