Jazz wins. Jazz must win. I am sure Memo will be better to help to win easy. GO JAZZ.

The pivotal point of their success rests on this game! GO Jazz!!

Boozer, D.Williams and AK had said something about the game. I think also Memo will say something but on the court. GO MEMO, GO JAZZ.

A win would definetly boost us in the division standings, but a loss won't ruin our season. I would not call this the pivotal point of the season. Anyway, I hope we win tonight! Go Jazz Go!

look for boozer to be a big disappointment on the road defensively, I dont think he knows what the word intensity means when it comes to defense..

Jimmy thinks it would be nice if we could win the tiebreaker against Denver, after already losing out on the tiebreaker to Portland

I think when it is all said and done Jazz will win the Division. I'm hoping (like most real young teams) the Blazers will hit the wall in the next month or so. I'm also hoping Denver will also fall apart. They usually due mostly because of injury. Nene is already out, and I fully expect Camby to have a season ending injury like he does every other year.

If the playoffs were to start today the Jazz wouldn't even be in. How bad is that, with all the better than average players on the roster. They definetely are underachieving to this point. I agree with Jerry, players today don't play the game with passion, and this year is a good example of players not getting after it nite in and nite out.Wake up Utah your to talented to shame our state.

@ Darrell

A win today and the Jazz are back in the playoffs. And they are only 5 games back from having the top seed in the west. Considering their unbalanced schedule to date they are only 2-3 games off where we all probably thought they would be.
About the Article | 11:06 a.m. Jan. 17, 2008
Buckley tries to make it sound like the Jazz players are contradicting themselves when they say all games are important but this one is extra-important...he makes it sound like they are saying all the others are not important because they said this one is extra important...

If the Jazz were 35-4, then not all games would be important, but the division games against rivals would be important still...for pride...

But seems as how the Jazz are 22-17 and currently sitting outside the playoff picture, all games are important...but these division rivals are more important to beat than others, because we gain full games on them to move up in the division standings...

The Jazz player's aren't contradicting themselves, they are just saying some are more important than others, but they are all important...

Big deal another Regular season game against the
Denver Nuggets Big deal the Jazz will never
do anything until they get a new head coach. I have
been telling everyone this for over 10 years. How
long do I have to repeat myself. So if they beat
the Nuggets tonight .........big deal.........

If AK gets 10/4/4/2, Korver shoots over 50%, Memo hits 2 three pointers, Boozer gets double-double, and D-Will gets at least 10 assists, we will win. Check me at the end of the game and you will see! Big game! Go Jazz!
I agree | 11:39 a.m. Jan. 17, 2008
I agree big deal...they jazz will not go anywhere fast with Sloan at the helm. He has brought them 0 championships, and will continue to do so. Anyone with Stock, Malone and Horny, should have one at least one ring.
If Utah was in the East | 11:54 a.m. Jan. 17, 2008
they would be in the 4th or 5th spot in the playoffs. I know this argument has been made before, but the West is still better than the East right now. As for Portland and Denver, I would be more worried about Denver. Portland has done well so far this season, but they struggle on the road like Utah and I think as the season progresses, Portland will start to fall behind (if Utah can start winning at least 500. on the road). Denver is always going to be dangerous with A.I. and Anthony, but in the end I think Utah will still win the division.

We really need Zelmo Beatty.

Sloan is a great coach. There is a lot of great player and coaches without rings during the Jordon era.

My favorite team ever was the 1971 Utah Stars with Zelmo Beaty, Willie Wise, Glen Combs, and Ron Boone. Zelmo and Willie were awesome. Zelmo should be in the NBA Hall of fame.
Go Jazz | 3:23 p.m. Jan. 17, 2008
I do not think this game is as big as fans are saying. It is still January with a lot of ball left to be played. With that being said, it is a huge game from a confidence standpoint and getting back to where the Jazz need to be. We are catching Portland, Golden State and Denver, we are right there with them. I still do not think New Orleans will keep up their winning ways either. The Jazz have got to start winning on the road and this could be a great starting point. They need to set the tone from the start of the game, go to the hoop and get to the line and get Denver in some foul trouble and get high percentage shots. I sure hope they come out with intensity and stick it to Denver. GO JAZZ!!

This article proves sloan is not a good coach.

He would rather they wear themselves out, playing with boken bones, just to win a few more regular season games, than be healthy for post season run.

That is why the jazz in the eighties and nineties never had good playoff runs, just too worn out and broken down to have a decent playoff season.

That and they just weren't as good as the other teams.

I see history repeating itself. In the eighties and nineties days people said the same thing: we just need more experience, or we need just one more player, but it never happened, the jazz never won a championship, while other teams have won several.

If the jazz don't build their team right to win championships, well, everyone is just kidding themselves with their wishful thinking.

Is your mission in life to talk smack on the Jazz? Do you like them or dedicate your life to disliking them. Either way it sounds like the Jazz are a part of your life cause you sure use a lot of energy talking about them. Never had good playoff runs? No that would be Tracy McGrady.

I'm trying to decide who I want to win, I guess if Denver stays down a little longer and we hold the tie breaker over Utah that's probably good for now.

Let the Nuggets and Jazz battle it out at the bottom.

Good luck folks.
