We need a registry for people with more than one DUI. Alcohol related accidents take over 16,000 lives each year.

I hope he serves time in jail and loses his driving priviledges permanently. There is no excuse for driving under the influence. His actions show total disregard for public safety.

This guy just doesn't get it. He needs to be forced to take responsibility for his actions and have some serious consequences. He's already killed someone if I read the story correctly! He should never have the opportunity to kill again. He should do serious jail time and have his driver's license permanently revoked and an interlock ignition device on any vehicles at his home (the kind you have to blow into and have your breath analyzed before the car will start) at his own expense. If he ever gets out of jail, he should have to do a lot of community service dealing with the consequences of drinking and driving. He's blown any chances he might have had. The guy needs to be kept off the road forever! And don't talk about repentance and second chances and maybe he'll change. He killed someone and that didn't stop him from driving under the influence. Personal responsibility needs to rear up and smack this guy seriously along side the head!
