Romney is the one for the job of American President 2008! Huckabee can have the role of Baptist Preacher, and McCain can retire.

paula

what the crap is this???

TS

Romney must believe that Michigan wants Pioneer Day off, crazy liquor laws and everything closed on Sunday!

Anonymous

TS-
What law requires stores to be closed on sunday?

Tai H. (a Conservative Mormon)

Let's examine the candidates leading in the State of Michigan:

John McCain won the Michigan Primary in 1996, only to lose the nomination to the better candidate - Governor George W. Bush - starting with the more conservative primary of South Carolina.

Mitt Romney is the very son of the former Governor of Michigan who attempted to hijack the GOP Primary in 1968. George Romney's politics were so liberal, some conservative Republicans even supported the Dixiecrat candidate, George Wallace, as he ran against the GOP Candidate, Richard Nixon, when George Romney conceded the nomination and endorsed Richard Nixon. Secretary Ezra Taft Benson was one who supported Governor Wallace. Some folks here in Utah may have heard of Ezra Taft Benson. Not sure...

History may beckon the conservative candidate yet again in South Carolina, after a liberal candidate may very well win Michigan. Either way you look at it, John McCain is a liberal, just like he was in 2000, and Mitt Romney is a liberal, just like his pathetic father was in 1968. Come to think of it - didn't George Romney also walk out on Barry Goldwater's convention speech in 1964?

Mike Huckabee will win the GOP ticket.

The fat lady is warming up.

"Michigan is going to vote for a Romney again," candidate says...but what happened next shocked everyone. Romney pulled off a rubber mask to reveal he doesn't just ACT like a robot, he IS one.

Good one "fat lady."
I'm also reminded of the metaphor - Darth Vader.
You know. When they pull his black helmet off all you see is a bunch of creepy machinery inside.

California

To Anonymous. Why don't you get a job or do you have one and are spending you work time on the internet?

Chuck

At this point, I like Romney. I am real tired of "career politicians" and the only one that is not one is Mitt.

McCane is far too liberal. look who his buddies are! Kennedy and Finegold.

Huckabee is a lot more liberal than you would think and shows us how stupid he is when he throws out anti mormon garbage.

Salem

Well, it is obvious that Ts, Tai H, and "fat lady" do not wear masks. But maybe they should. What I read in their comments portray individuals who seem to delight in scoffing, jeering, ridiculing, slamming, and any one of many terms that describe their caustic, destructive, and disrespectful remarks! Every presidential candidate running for office in this election are worthy of far more than the bitter, hateful diatribe written by these individuals.

I guess I'm in the same boat as YOU "California"

Romney is a clown.
Everytime I see his plastic pasted-on smile, his rapidly blinking eyes, and the way he talks down to everyone - I want to puke!

TS

No law but due to the fact that mormons go to church for 3+hours, aren't allowed to work or go where people are working, stores don't see a reason to be open.

But, nothing better than going to The Gateway on Sunday. Crowds are perfect.

Vietnam Vet

Today's Gallup national Republican poll:

McCain - 33%
Huckabee - 19.8%
Giuliani - 13.4%
Romney - 11%

true blue

Romney is definetly not what I would call a people person, and he's not as personable as the other candidates. However, he has the best brain of all the candidates on either side. The reason education has not been brought up this election is because Romney is way more advanced than any of the other candidates.

To TS:

Since when did Mitt Romney represent Mormonism?

He doesn't. He represents liberalism.

Right of Center Republican

Knowing McCain, he will probably choose Romney as his running mate. If McCain or Romney is on the GOP ticket, I will vote Libertarian and encourage others to do so. If Republicans want to vote for candidates that are just as liberal as Obama and Clinton, then I cannot support the Party.

Perhaps a a third-party vote takes away from a GOP victory in November, but we as a Party cannot send a liberal candidate to the White House.

Define liberal

I see lots of accusations here about Romney, McCain, and Huckabee being "liberal". Could someone please cite specific examples of how each candidate is liberal?

Blake

Ahhh....just a few hours left until we get to watch Mitt Romney go down in flames. Again.

Watching him lose elections is like family home evening, except I sit back with a glass of wine and laugh real hard.

Anonymous

Whoa, Blake.
Ouch!
(but I agree with you 100%)
