We don't need another layer of useless bereaucrats trying to changethungs and going to battle with each other ovwer who the "man".Enforce the rule and reg that are already in place. Start by firing those who have not been enforcing.
Get some people in who care about the safety of the miners and not about profit.
What we need is an agency that will do its job and not be concerned with business interests. I was a miner, safety was considered an expense not a life saving benefit. Friends died because business costs came first. We do not need another useless business guided agency we need one that will bite the head off of corporate greed. We know how to make mining safer lets make corporations criminally and fiscally responsible for safety, give these workers and their families some protection from self interest wrongly understood.
Gary has a very good idea.
What would it take get laws that give Utah the legal right to prosecute the corporates that disregard safety and cause death and injury?
