When you really consider our options we should be happy with what Energy Solutions is doing. Consider that Utah is the source of much of the radioactive material to begin with. It is mined here, after it is used it makes sense to store it here safely. Consider what we do with with coal, we mine it here and burn it and pump the waste into the air. Oil, we pump it out of the ground burn it and pump the waste into the air. Hydro electric dams kill fish species. Solar and Wind change the landscape into vast forests of metal and mirrors. Nuclear energy is the only energy were we mine it, burn it and then safely store the waste on small amounts of land.

I work at the Clive facility. I know that what we do here is safe. I am involved with it every day. Not only is the facility safe, but by bringing radio active waste here, it takes it out of neighborhoods and makes the world safer for everyone. If we are truly concerned about the environment, we have to start considering nuclear power and get away from coal generators. Today, we have the technology to safely handle nuclear power and radioactive wastes. We have proven it for many years.
