Sinan From Turkey

That's it !!! I love you Memo and Jazz.

Cold Turkey

Odds were that Memo would have a big game. After 37 games you should have at least one good game.

Seriously though, this game by Okur ticks me off. It shows what he is capable of, and it shows how LHM has not been getting an honest days work for rediculously high pay.

Sinan, you should be ashamed of your countryman. I for one will not be eating Turkey in protest of Memo's overall lack of effort

Turkey's done

It's about freaking time that the cold Turk decided to play some basketball. Where in the world did that agressive low post move and dunk on Stoudamire come from? Forget throwing up those nine three pointers at a thirty percent clip and take the ball to the hole!!

Korny Cox

I'll take Brewer and his Poor 9-14 shooting over the sharp shooting of Korver (5-14) any day.

MARK MY WORDS

"The Kyle Korver trade was on of the worst trades for the Jazz in the past 15 years"

Here is why. We traded a similar player with an expiring contract and a first round pick for a guy with Giri's same skill set his multi-year contract.

The contract is the reason this trade was horrendous. Due to the amount of money owed to Korver it makes it virtually impossible for Utah to sign Miles who is an unrestricted free agent at years end.

Thats right the Jazz in essence traded Giri, C.J. Miles and a first round pick for a one trick horse and his extravigant contract

Jimmy's Sneakers

Jimmy agree's with Korny

Jimmy is angry that O'Connel traded Giri, C.J. Miles and a first round pick for Korver.

Jimmy likes Korver, but Miles alone was too much. Why throw in Giri, a first round pick.

Jimmy thinks that C.J. has all-star "potential".

Jimmy also said that C.J. will sign with Dallas or Houston next year and that it will be a painful reminder everytime we play them of the huge blunder that O'Donnel and ultimately Sloan pulled with this trade.

Andrew

Korny -- CJ is RESTRICTED after this season due to him being in the league for 3 seasons so far. Please read up before spouting off wrong information. Korver is a very good defender on our team so far and all shooters have bad nights, lay off, Giri fanboi! Everyone agrees that the trade was good.

are you serial?

if everyone agrees the trade was good, then he wouldn't have posted that the trade was bad. Duh Andrew!

Anti-Okur

Okur is a sucky player. Not because he lacks talent but because he lacks umph...he should have become an accountant or something. He played the same "oh dont hurt me" game in the national team and sucked there too.. So he doesnt have many fans around here anymore.

By the way Mr. Cold Turkey...please do not use the lack of vowels in the English language to make fun about the country...

Regards.

Jimmy's Sneakers

Looks like the Jimmy imitators are coming back again.

Jimmy was happy to get this win with or without 3/5ths of the Suns starting lineup in place. At this point the Jazz just need wins.

Jimmy is happy with the Korver trade. What Korny and the fake Jimmy need to remember is that this money is not your money it is Larry's money. Jimmy is happy when Larry steps up and spends his money to try to win.

TNT Cast

I thought it was neat to hear them talking up Sloan. Including Charles Barkely who always has nothing but good things to say about him.

The commentators for the game were difficult to listen to. They really were not into the game at all as far as I could tell.

Re: Cold Turkey by Sinan

I think you made an allusion by saying "ashamed of my countryman Memo". I'm proud of him as my countryman and also as an basketball lover. I agree with a thing that Memo can't jump high or make fantastic dunks like Americans because the basketball in Turkey wasn't playing as being in NBA. Now it is more closer and players are being trained in that way. On the other hand, philosophy of Turkish players are differant from US players and that differance helps them to be better or helpful on the court many times. As a sample, to play for stats is never philosophy of our countrymen. That is bad for their stats but good for the team because of sharing the ball. Regards and GO JAZZ, GO MEMO.

jazz rock

for all of you guys dissing memo think for one minute. he is alot better than you guys for one thing. go jazz

Sam Von Schmam

The Jazz are tied for 9th place in the West with Houston. Even if they win most of their home games from here on out, I don't seem them hitting the post season. December's abismal implosion cost them big time. Even if they manage it, they're a first round exit in 5 games. They have a good team with high potential talent, but their physical talent isn't backed up by mental toughness. That's something that hopefully comes with maturity and toughness. The real question is will this team develop that quality fast enough before its members give up and pursue opportunities with other teams.
The victory over Phoenix was good, but it was one a game if they loose you shake your head at how pathetic they were lossing to a team missing 2 allstars and a starter. If they win, you say, "you're supposed to put a beat down on a team missing 2 allstars and a starter."
One gaping hole in their game, their big men do not play defense. They react, they don't anticipate, so they're always a step behind following or fouling and our guards get no help defending around screens. No"BigD"=Noplayoffs.

Korver

Watched Korver for the first time. Certainly not afraid to shoot the ball. Phil Johnson mentioned in post game that he needs to learn when to shoot and when not to shoot. If he is a dangerous shooter that is a bad omen coming from Phil. I sat there realizing that if Giri were here and had taken half the shots Korver did he would be on the bench in a heart beat. Are we going to recognize Korver as a shooter and give him free reign or attach strings and destroy his confidence? The best shooters in the league sometimes take poor shots but the ability to shoot at will is what builds their confidence. We have a bad habit of making shooters look over their shoulder - hence we never have any.

BWT

The exception of the 2nd quarter, the Jazz played well enough to win against the Suns. I believe the Jazz are starting to play with confidence and playing to win instead of playing not to loose. For the past 6 games Memo has been playing much better. You can tell when Memo plays with confidence when he rebounds, when he rebounds,it seems to me that's when he is playing with confidence and when he does that, his shooting improves. For the last 5 games Giri has averaging 11.8 minutes and 2.8 in points. Korver is averaging 21.6 in munutes and 10.4 a game. Korver to me is a team player on defense, on offence at least last night, he was doing to much and was forcing the ball instead of relaxing and shooting. I believe when A.K comes and Harpring comes back he will calm down and shoot the ball with ease. CJ and Brewer are playing good ball, which is nice to see. Hart as I noticed is a every other game player, since he had a bad game last night, he will have a good game Saturday. Two in a row let's make it 3.
Go Jazz!

Paul Millsap

Millsap is WORTHLESS. All he does is fumble every pass, get stuck in the lane, and throw up ugly shots. I would much rather find a way to play Collins, who doesn't try to play above his head. We need to get rid of Millsap soon...

Korver

I love Korver! i would kiss him!

Are you kidding me?

Get rid of Milsap and keep Collins? Don't get so stuck on one game, look at the breadth of their time here. Milsap has played out of his mind at times, especially last year. He hustled, rebounded, and gave us the energy that our bench players (or starters for that matter) often lack.

Collins is a 7-footer who likes to hang out around the free throw line and clang jumpers off the rim. What has he ever done that he should have Milsap's minutes?

Mike Squire

CJ is restricted, but due to the Korver trade the Jazz won't be able to match what CJ will bring unless the Jazz go into Luxury tax dollars.

So Korny and Jimmy were right the Korver trade was essentially trading away CJ, Giri and a first round pick. It's too bad, because CJ is going to be good.

bigbluerulz

I think it is so stupid that fans are so short-sighted. Would you have said Millsap is worthless last year? Heck, no! Just because he has had a bad game or two doesn't mean he is worthless. I would much rather have him in the game regardless of his offense because his rebounding and defense are much better. How can you say you want to play Collins? The man never gets off the floor and jumps for balls! He has totally restricted basketball skills and to me, seems like one of those guys only there for a paycheck.
