Hey, why ignore it?

Polygomy continues to haunt the Church, and is certainly a top LDS related news story in 2007, ie Jeffs trial in Utah, Romney's polygomist heritage, etc.

Nebraska

To: 'why ignore it'...
1) Jeffs was not LDS and his polygamy news is his and his church's, not that of the LDS church.

2) There are many, many people who are decendants of polygamos families all around the world. The LDS church began polygamy when it was perfectly legal to do so. Over 100 years ago they stopped the practive. Obama has an Islamic heritage. Islam still allows multiple wives today. Romney's heritage is certainly not a Top Ten LDS news item.

In 2004, it was reported that 47% of Senegal's marriages were plural. Hong Kong didn't outlaw it until 1971, Malaysia still practices it. In the predominantly Arab countries it is still practiced.

The new edition of the Book Of Mormon also has the change Id been wanting to see in the Alma 11 heading where it states, Nephite coinage set forth which was changed to The Nephite monetary system set forth--which clears up some confusion, while not changing any of the actual words of the Book Of Mormon's translation from the Gold Plates. Does anyone know of any other changes in the new edition?

love the news

Thanks for this section of the news! I disagree with the order of top stories, but am always interested in reading about the church and its people!
