Oh no, Romney is going to begin crying now - because after New Hampshire he
thinks that America has spoken and wants a candidate to have tears in their
eyes. He will once again adjust his strategy, and be what he thinks the
majority of people want.

..why Romney is running?? This man is a turnaround guy. He's the ONLY ONE
with change experience in business (Bain), the Olympics and government (balanced
budget without tax increases in an overwhelmingly democratic state). Yet he has
failed to emphasize and capitalize on that position. I haven't heard him
articulate yet WHY he is running, at least in a convincing way. I really, really
want to vote for this guy but if he wants to carry on the real legacy of Reagan,
it is about galvanizing ideas that change the definition of conservatives. It is
not about 'more guantanamos' or pandering to the bigots on the
religious right. Turn us on, Mitt, PLEASE!!!

I was in Bedford last night. The supporters would have liked a win last night.
Still, we are pleased to have more delegates (and votes) than any other
candidate right now. Most people think these contests are "winner takes
all." They're not. The candidate wins the percentage of delegate of
their votes. If Romney can win MI and NV, he'll go all they way.

The tone of this article fits my sentiments exactly. Romney has demonstrated
that he can get out the vote. He is the only candadite so far that has been
consistent. He is making strong showings in every state. It could be argued
that he has won all three states because he has suvived the constant attacks
from his left and his right (Mcain more of a lefty, and Huckabee more of a
righty). Romney is the candadite of choice for the majority of American
republican voters and his consistency will prevail so as long as voters are not
swayed by the media and the sensationalism of the various wins that other
candadites will have over the next few weeks. He needs to stay on in until
super tuesday. He needs to stay on message, and also keep playing some of those
inspiring and positive messages in every state that will vote on that tuesday.
He should avoid too much of the negativity, but still continue to compare and
contrast. Voters deserve that. Romney is impressive I hope that people will
see his strength and will forego the thoughts and commentary of the mainstream
media.

Those who refer to "attack ads" should realize these ads point out the
past records of the other candidates. If they are considered negative, then the
records are negative. Why can't people wake up and realize that Romney did
not make the records--the candidates did that for him.

Romney and Obama at least present themselves in a genuine way. Hillary looked

It needs to be pointed out (and the media is not doing it) that Romney is actual
LEADING the primary right now. It is all about how many delegates a candidate
has and despite coming in second in Iowa and New Hampshire, Romney leads the
delegate count. Add his win in Wyoming and he has a substantial lead at this
time.

People care about the economy. A weak country at home is a weak country
internationally. Every politician makes economic promises, but Romney is the
only one with real ability to deliver in this area. We face a currency,
international credibility, job and housing crisis. The next president will have
to lead us out of this. Who else among the candidates can do anything positive
to bring us through it?

Mitt may not be doing attack ads, but they are being perceived as attack ads.
That makes all the difference. That strategy isn't working, and he had

Romney still has more delegates than any other Republican candidate. Why is
this not being reported in the media? The guy who has the most delegates wins,
right? I don't think that makes him the silver medalist at this time,

Greg - just because you work for the government does not mean that you
don't have the right to voice your opinion, or even work for a candidate.
The federal government does have restrictions on working for campaigns but
people still have the right and obligation to voice their opinions. Those who
don't voice their opinion by helping to get out the vote and voting
themselves will have nothing to say when the final vote is cast if they did not
participate.

Go ahead and ignore the facts and try to make us believers feel bad, but Romney
gets the last laugh. He will be laughing with us believers all the way to the
bank. You can bank on it. Oh my gosh, he is the bank. But in the end at least

Romney won Wyoming caucas. Now, each of the 'front runners' have won
one state (out of three) each. Simple math means that Romney has more delegates
than the other 2. You'd think that Wyoming is on mars or succeeded from
the states, the way it's not been reported. I wonder why? It seems
winning a state - no matter how small - is a big deal, right?

The overly-optimistic comments of the Romney supporters are kind of silly.
Mitt Romney is in deep trouble. He is perceived as a flip-flopper and somewhat plastic. And, he is perceived as rather negative because of his aggressive ads. He needed these early wins to jumpstart his campaign. Now, it is probably just a matter of time before the end. He may lead the delegate count at the moment but it will become harder and harder as the campaign moves into bigger states. I suspect he'll be out after Super Tuesday.
But, remember, Ronald Reagan lost his first race in 1976 against Gerald Ford. Usually candidates are better campaigners the second time.
Romney needs to work on set of policies that are authentically his, rather than the products of his consultants and polling. I believe his excessive reliance on consultants has really hurt him. The whole shift from a moderate to a conservative was forced and was the source of the flip-flopping charge. Maybe 2012 or 2016 will be his window.

in the bag. Wake up Mitt the news is out, you are full of hot air, flip flop,

Really, how sad for you. (Are you picking up my sarcasm here? I hope so,

"working" American, not the elite. I am a normal middle-class citizen
and Romney is the right person to lead this country at this time. Think of the

It's all about the delegate count. If Mitt keeps getting 2nd in the states
while the winners are scattered he'll have more delegates. So silver is

If the media would present clear pictures of what is really going on delegat
wise, there be a better educated , informed voter...but no they gotta downplay
certain candidates by duping the public ..hoping a label will stick, even though
not a mitt supporter..the power of the media is apparent in trying to play
biases example the religion issue not clearifying through good research,which i
thought journalist were trained to do..but now they are zeroing in on certain
sectors..so i use mitt as a gauge on how the media slyly chips away like the
machine it is to give distortions of some pretty clear facts.

Hypocrisy has become the only unforgivable sin in American politics and Romney

view. Was he truthful then or now? Was his change of heart genuine or not? The
underlying message is that Romney is a hypocrite, faking his views to burnish

Yes, Romney, with his $250 million is for the working man. And he and his kids
support the war but help the country more by working for his campaign than
actually joining the military. And we need another family man- like the one in
office now - Bush has screwed things up beyond belief- and Romney hasn't
tried to put any distance between him and Bush. To win the presidency,
ultimately, a candidate will have to run away from Bush. That may not win Utah,
but it will win the gold....

Our family was puzzled/shocked by the tone of NBC's breaking in to
"call" the NH Primary last night, with only 10% of the vote counted.
It sounded like a triumphal announcement.
They did this to us ("called" the election) in the 2000 and 2004 elections long before the polls closed. The 5 western states didn't get to finish voting -- a lotta Californians didn't bother to go vote.
Shouldn't it be illegal? Or at least not Politically Correct, which is far worse.
And the Today Show this morning sounded like Mrs. Clinton had won the whole election, with a 3 point lead over Obama. When Dan Jones does a poll, they call that the margin of error.

us what he contributes to mankind other than snide remarks. It's what we
learn after we know it all that counts. Mitt has not been a big loser anywhere.
He has accumulated more delegates at this point than any other candidate.
That's a loser? He is a winner at everything he does and that eventually
will include the Republican nomination for president. Also, he has earned his
wealth. He can spend it any way he sees fit--wisely or otherwise, or perhaps
you would take it away from him and distribute it.

It's interesting that Wyoming, and Mitt's 30 some delegates are not
reported anywhere!!! Mitt is winning - why isn't that being reported
anywhere? Maybe the only thing Mitt needs to do is create his own reporting in
this regard - instead of saying he won a silver, he should say he has won
another x number of delegates so he is still in the lead. Silly people, do you
really think New Hampshire is really THAT important? There are 49 other
states...

I do my own yard (I'm a woman, and my hubby works). I scrub my own floors and toliets. I don't fly commerical much, because I'm too darn busy raising my family to go anywhere! Besides, it's expensive and we have a big family. Were savaing for that trip, instead of putting it on a credit card. My oh my, do we scrape by! I coupon to get food cheaper. We raise a huge garden every year and we can what we don't eat in season. Heck, today I even had to shovel my own driveway! Talk about common!
And yet, I'll still support Mitt Romney. Why Nolan? I've been to college. I should be a thinker instead of follower. But you know what? I did think about it. And I know that a man who has had to make payroll, is someone I'd like to take a serious look at for a leader. PUt that in you lawnmower and shred it.

I found the delegate numbers interesting. That was news for me. Can anyone
enlighten me on where the delegates came from? For example; Mitt Romney
received ___ delegates from Iowa, ____ from Wyoming, and ____ from New

election, with a 3 point lead over Obama.

Interesting that no one has even speculated that the Independents, sensing that
Obama had it in the bag, and therefore didn't really need their vote, went
into the booth and at the last moment, thinking this through, pulled the lever
for McCain, because Romney was gaining on him. They got their RINO and lost
their Dem. Romney lost one that he otherwise would probably have won. Do the
math 4% on the Dem side (based on the numbers I saw last night) would have been
around 11,000 votes - If McCain had lost these 11,000 votes there'd be four
candidates whistling different tunes this morning. Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda...
