I've been waiting for the hidden Latino culture and tradition to be discovered in Utah. Looks like the new Centro Civico may be a dream come true.

The poor place continues to recylce old leadership and merely change their titles. At least it's a beginning but with the same faces and names, little actual change is likely.

Their continued focus on only the poor makes it a place that no one wants to visit. The constant unprofessional infighting that occurs solidifies one's desire to not participate.

Holding my breath.... at a distance.

I think John was quite transparent.

I think it is great that they have Margarita in charge now! Like her, I was born in Idaho and grew up in Burley, and, like her I graduated from the University of Utah with majors in Sociology and Ethnic Studies. We also have the fact that we each spent ten years of our lives living in Mexico. All of these similarities make me even more excited that she is now President! However, we all need to make sure that old rivals, jealousy, pride, and prejudices don't prevent us from moving forward.
