Thank you Seronac. Texan apparently doesn't get the implications of so called 'gun control' even in this matter. Had a gun not been available, the fury in David's heart would have come out in some other way.

Kristy was my best friend and I've know her my whole life. There was nothing she did wrong to this man to make him kill her. Most of all there was nothing there children did to make them motherless. He was a heartless coward who took the life of a women he vowed to love for this life and time and all eternety. The only mistake Kristy made was loving this man with all her heart. My heart goes out to her family and her dear sweet children.

This is EXACTLY why women should carry a firearm, and why no person of faith should ever agree to attend any church that prohibits lawful carry of a firearm.

Idiots ban guns. Criminals love gun bans. Restricting guns is responsible for untold deaths.

I wish she had been armed for her own self defense. Now her children are motherless.

You think that anyone who wants to should be carrying a concealed handgun so that they can just blast the heck out of anyone who ticks them off? You say that idiots ban guns, I say that idiots carry guns. You suggest that this poor girl should have carried a gun to church in the off chance that someone should want to kill her there. That would mean that she would have to prepare herself every day to be on the lookout for someone she may have to kill. We need to ban hand guns from being manufactured, sold, distributed, owned and possessed by anyone except the police (and the like) and the military. That way anyone with one would be subject to arrest because the only reason to have one would be for some criminal activity. Kristy is a tragic victim here and you suggest that she should have been ready to kill someone in a church parking lot, just in case? Infuriating.

I am a Canadian where laws differ. Gun laws have done nothing to deter those with criminal intent here. Clearly the same holds true for this event and numerous others in the US and Canada. Private persons trained and armed to defend themselves is an option I wholeheartedly support. It could have made a difference in this and other cases. Those who fear that law abiding citizens will just start to "blast the heck out of anyone" are clearly not educated to the facts. All the bans and laws made in the US and other countries have done nothing but fuel the vast black market in firearms, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and other regulated products, both currently and historically.
