Wes Wesmorland

I don't think anyone could have beat the Blazers tonight.

And the Jazz sure were not going to beat them playing Hart and Price at the two guard durring a pivotal stretch in the third and forth.

I thought just yesterday we were all talking about a log jam at off gaurd. I guess it has really gotten crowded now that Jerry is including two of the worst guards in the league in that group

Why can't Jerry just keep those two guys in his dog house. Jerry needs to lighten up on Miles and Brewer.

As Pink Floyd would say "Hey Jerry!!! Leave them kids alone"

Jim Harmston

I don't agree with Wes. I like when Sloan plays two point gaurds at the same time. Heck I would consider going with three. It sounds crazy but you once you try it you just might like it.

ks

Funny thing-He dont know how to use any of them! Throw them all out OConner, Jerry dont think they work, get him another batch

Jim Harmston

I don't agree with Wes. I like when Sloan plays two point gaurds at the same time. I've always been a fan of playing two. Heck I wouldn't hesitate to try three. It sounds crazy but the pro's sometimes outweigh the cons.

bddefense

Is it just me or does it seem everyone and their cousin gets their career high against the Jazz?

Alan Gardner

me and the gals watched the game on NBA TV tonight. It was with Portlands anouncers and they were making fun of Sloans zone defense. They said it had more holes in it than Swiss cheese. Just because the Jazz are from Utah doesn't mean that their defense needs to be holy.

al

Did they try a zone against Webster?

Sloan=nightmare

I am waiting for Sloan to at least admit that he was outcaoched as always and did nothing to even try to stop that 17-2 rally. I bet any other coach would call at least couple timeouts at that time to try change some things but of course not Jerry, he preferes to make lame excuses like "I 'have never see guy getting so open" WHAT??? 20 year coaching experience and you haven't seen screens to free up the shooter and you do not know how to deal with it? And you are one getting paid 5 mil/year?
And how many screens Jazz set to free up Korver in quarter? I'll anser - zero. So why you need a shooter Jerry if all you can create " pass inside to Boozer"? Boozer having off night = Jerry turns into impotent and has no idea what to do, while Macmillan is beating the Jazz with Roy sitting on the bench - how pathetic!

Let me hear it

First off, the Jazz may not make the playoffs in all honesty. But I am curious and would appreciate some feedback on the following point. Does it really matter if they make the playoffs? The Jazz cannot win on the road, this much is obvious. Given their record, it is nearly impossible that they would have home court advantage in any round of the playoffs. So there is no way they could win any series. Does the proposition of a sure first round exit really excite anyone?

Ol'pro

You can talk about all the hot shooting you'd like. All the faults player may have shown ,it still comes back down to the regular thing within the game! The COACH got OUT coached!

Come on ,17-2 Run , no time outs to stop the bleeding . Plus, during this time not one good matchup ? The players that where scoring and playing well for the Jazz, got send to the end of the bench ,just a little bit of real SlowN style running the club.

It looked more as SlowN was trying to see who he could send to his doghouse instead of paying attention to what was going on .

I could just imagine what Slown's rat and rave was like at half time . It looked as the whole group had instant TUNE OUT on SlowN , hence forth D-Will's comment at the end of the game .

Something about not being right, after trying and trying same things over and over and it not working.

HMMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnnnn ?
Wonder what the point really was. Of course everyone knows, even a blind man can see the problem .At least hear the problem !

Until the jazz can get a decent coach we will keep
on seeing these guys light us up for 25 points in
a quarter. Sloan for the sake of the franchise needs
to realize his time has come. Lets move on to the
next level Jazz fans, find a new coach Miller

Calgary Jazz

Come on fans from Utah, get big signs in next home game something like "we tired of Sloan", "Sloan, thank you and good bye", Jerry it is not 1998 anymore". and finaly a big huge "FIRE SLOAN!"
Maybe he will realize that it is time for him to go.

Mr Defense

Enough talk about Sloan needing to go. Does anyone really play defense?? I'm sick of seeing Boozer, Oker, and Milsap hack it up. The only games it looks like they are playing defense is when they are winning games and the other teams can't score. I'm getting tired of the Jazz falling into mainstream NBA: run'n gun.

Boozer not banging inside

Sure Boozer took 16 shots to tally only 6 points, he had a bad night. But how come he did not go tothe free throw line even once? He never goes. Past Power Forwards for the Jazz would go to the line like 15 times a game. Put AK at the 4 because Boozer is just another shooting guard.

RE: Boozer not banging inside.

Boozer does not bang inside because he does not like contact. Have you ever seen Boozer post up inside and try to back someone down in like Malone. Boozer will spin to get to the middle or shoot the jumper or hopes they bite on the picknroll. He will always avoid contact at both ends of the court. On defense he will aimlessly slap at the ball but you will hardly ever see him body up against someone and try to keep them out of the middle. Amazes me that Sloan has not pushed these issues with him but nothing amazes me with what Sloan is doing this year. He is getting out coached and players are losing or lost there respect for him. If Jazz tank and do not make the playoffs and Sloan stays as coach watch Dwill sign somewhere else. Dwill may tell Miller I will sign somewhere else if Sloan is Coach. Dwill made some subtle jabs about Sloans coaching last night if you read between the lines.

my grandma can score on boozer and my dog can out coach sloan!

Hello, Larry

Anybody home? Is there anybody in there? Hello?Better hurry up and take charge. This is a huge investment, and you need to call a time out.You cannot let someones stubborn, egotistical head games destroy everyones dream.

Jazz fan

I agree with most of the above posts. Sloan needs to go. I have been a jazz fan forever and I am sick of his "system" he has had over 20 years to prove that his "system" is championship caliber and has never produced even with 2 of the best players in NBA history.

You can see how he strips the confidence from the players. If a player takes a shot and misses or even makes it before they try to go inside, he gets chewed out. Sloan has ruined the confidence of a lot of jazz players, and I am afraid he will do the same to Korver.

The jazz have a lot of talent, but he wont conform his "system" to tailor to their talents, instead he tries to make them fit a system that has been proven not to work! We might make the play offs but we will never win a championship with his system.

Man it is frustrating to watch this team with so much talent do so little!

Stan

To alan Gardner, the announcers on nbatv are not affiliated with any team so don't feel so bad about it. These are the same guys who said the blazers couldn't possibly match up against Denver's big pair because we are too young and don't have the talent or the superstar veteran leadership. Utah's a great team. If we don't see you this post-season we'll look forward to a great series next year with you!

Joe Shand

I will not go to Jordan Commons or the Myan Restaraunt until Sloan is gone.
