i hope almond have a chance to play with the jazz while giri is on the doghouse.
If you were not at the game last night to see Almond play and get 51 come tonight. It was a thing of beauty. He is right where he should be for the time being. There would be no reason for him to be with the Jazz on the bench. WIth the Flash he gets to play. He is really developing into a pro player. Leave him be and come see what he is doing.
Jimmy thinks it sounds like Almond is beginning to regain confidence in his shot, down with the farm club. Hopefully after we trade Giri, he can bring that new found confidence to the big leagues, provided that his defense has improved enough to get him on the floor.
I think that Giri should be traded for a second round pick or something like that (A place where the Jazz have struck gold in the past few years) And move Almond up to be considered with Miles as the backup guard, or possibly 3rd String SF.
Seems simple, trade Gira, for a draft pick, keep the money and try CJ, ( who finally had a decent game in back up at Orlando ) behind Brewer, let Almond play for the Flash and get experiance , and give Fesenko minutes against the hefty boys in the paint. Gira ? lose him in the shuffle.
51 points in any league is VERY impressive. If the guy can shoot from the outside, maybe he could help the Jazz; especially when other teams go into that sagging zone defense late in each 4th quarter. You know, the dreaded zone defense that causes the Jazz to throw the ball away instead of shooting open jumpers...
What else does Almond have to do to get in the rotation? Score 100?
Call him up Utah! This is just proof that he is much better then any other shooting guard the Jazz have... well besides Brewer!! But bring him up to back Brewer up!!! This would make the team a much better outside shooting threat!!
the whole league will laugh at us if we don't recall a player who scores 38 and 51 in back-to-back games in D-League...why won't Sloan play rookies?? Almond would play in EVERY other team :/
The game last night was awesome! I know we are all excited about Morris playing for the Jazz but people need to come check out a Flash game. Overtime, loud crowd, amazing shots, and great professional basketball and entertainment. The Flash have now had 2 overtime games, 2 games end on last second shots, and a blow out win. You can't beat it. Let's support the team that supports the Jazz! Game tonight at 7.
I would love to see Almond come up and play for the Jazz, but the longer he stays with the Flash the better off he and the jazz will be. He'll get better quicker playing 30+ min per with the Flash than playing 3-10 min per with the Jazz
finally there is Almond Joy with this guy. Earth to Jazz keep this guy developing, and the same with Fes. These two are going to put us over the top. But they need to develop in the D league. Get rid of Gira. Get rid of Gira. I totally agree trade him for a second round pick.
It doesn't matter how many he points he scores.
In jerry sloans system hewould never be allowed to shoot that much. His job would be to pass to boozer.
I was the guy holding the Almond Joy sign at the draft party. I knew this kid has it in him. Now it's just up to Jerry to humble himself, and get the kid on the court. He brings what we are in need of. It' a no brainer!
I JUST LOVE THIS GUY OUT OF ALL THE PLAYERS IN THE "D" LEAGUE.
I ONLY WISH THAT MY PHILADELPHIA 76ers WOULD MAKE HIM AN OFFER.
