Great Accomplishment

Impressive considering that he didn't play against Oregon State and only carried the ball seven times against Air Force. Next year should be even better.

Grain of Salt

Remember to look at TOTAL numbers with a grain of salt. Very few, if any, of the above players played in seasons with 13 games. Bowl games never counted in stats until fairly recently and the ncaa has gone from 11 to 12 game regular seasons. It's true that Mack didn't play one game and had limited touches in the AFA game but other players on the list sat out games also.

Mack had a good year. Congratulations to him. 1,200 yards is a good thing. But, it's not as good as it used to be. Rushing stats are best determined by ypa, not total yards. Just as passing stats are best determined by PER or ypa, not total yards.

And another thing. Carl Monroe didn't play for Utah in 1985.

GoCougs

Harvey Unga has more moves than he'll EVER have.

Go Cougars!

CougarKeith

Mack doesn't hold a candle to Unga! Utah tried to recruit Unga, that is saying something. Mack stinks compared to Unga, and he shot his big mouth off before the BYU game and Unga out played him making him look like a rookie in lead shoes carrying three guys!!!

Typical BYU

This is not about Unga (who I will admit, is an absolute stud) or BYU.

what's your point? that you're a little man complex byu fan? i would call you a dick but your manhood probably wouldn't warrant that.

Utah fan and alumnus

cougarkeith, why don't you keep all of your B.S. BYU comments in the articles about BYU? Just once it would be nice to see you write something positive about another school not full of dopers and rapists.
