I'm reminded that it's impossible to be disappointed in Utah because, I have lowered my expectations of Utah to less than zero.

Isn't it interesting that the environmentalists aren't happy with anything except an INCREASE in the number of acres set aside for non-motorized vehicles? They are setting aside so much of this country for their own selfish llama riding and cross country skiing that the rest of us will have nowhere to go in the great outdoors. Some of us are handicapped and can only access these places via ATV's and snowmobiles. Please quit being so selfish!

The answer is simple.

Quieter snowmobiles. (ant ATVs) They exist, they just can't jump over moguls as well, or perform as well as the old two strokes, but hey, if you really are just needing the snowmobile because you are "handicapped," it won't matter, because you just want to be in the outdoors.

Right?

I have a suprise for you noisy people. Folks who prefer quiet, have JUST AS MUCH right to their desires, as you do. Get quieter snow machines, (and ATVs), respect other's rights, and most folks won't have any issues with sharing the wilderness. Its as easy as that.

Cancer is the real issue for man and wildlife. Do gas & oil powered leisure snowmobiles have the right to pollute watershed, and degrade water sources for pleasure purposes?

Propane, natural gas, or electric snowmobiles make sense. why not ban gas & oil power snowmobiles, the who really cares where the go?

The same goes for personal water craft. Gas & oil is not removed by the water treatment plant. Basically, we drink oil & gas because folks want to play on the watershed.

If one poured gas into a lake or snow bank, he'd be arrested. If one pours gas & oil into a lake or snow bank by leisuring on a snomomible or personal water craft, he'd be exercising is legal rights.

Doesn't make much sense.

Where's Utah's leadership?
