Excellent point.
I hope Mitt Romney reads your story.

"it's easy to become so focused on one thing that you lose track of other, equally important things.

Especially at Christmas.

With or without the nuts."

Great story. Sounds the like the process we use Americans use to choose a new president.

Sounds like you didn't even read the article! Yeah! Let's comment on something we didn't read!

Enter commentI love the article. It reminds me of the wonderful slips of the tongue that come from my own children and grandaughter. I remember my own slips as child. Fond memories all. But...., how did Mitt Romney get into this? Did I read the article too fast? Did I miss something? Why must some people politicize everything? Christmas is not about Mitt Romney. It is about Someone much more important than him. Even if Mitt does get elected, not necessarily a bad prospect in my eyes, I don't see him becoming the Saviour of America or anything else for that matter. Let's try to separate religion and politics. Then maybe we won't have to worry about separation of Church and State.

This reminded me of the time one of our kids sang enthusiastically:
"Good tithings we bring to you and your king." :-)
Merry Christmas & thanks for the important reminder to focus on the important!

Isn't it fascinating in these Comment forums that the Deseret News so thoughtfully provides for us, that any and every article gets injected with some variety of Mormon-bashing or Romney-bashing, or both? How many mean-spirited people does it take to ruin a thoughtful or even funny article? One... but they can't leave it at that. This article's comments are mild by comparison to others lately, but those others are so heinous by comparison that I couldn't risk a comment for fear of giving one more troubled soul the opportunity to take pot-shots at someone ... anyone! My point is this: Will every reader just calm down for a bit, keep their vitriol to themselves, and let normal folks get on with the Spirit of the Holidays? Someone, in a comment to a different article, called for a "cease fire" in the War of Words presently being waged. I support such a cessation of hostilities. Won't people of Good Conscience join in?

I loved the story...brought a smile to my face, memories flowing of my childhood...what a delight. As far as Mitt Romney...if the Lord wants him to be President....he certainly will become that. With that knowledge comes peace of mind and the need to ignore and push away negativity that is part of the news, especially at this time in the United States of America. My brother told me the Lord is in control and I believe that with all of my heart. Merry Christmas, may your hearts be filled with the love of Christ.

I see their point.
They saw Walker's story (and concluding point) in light of what is happening arround us today.

"it's easy to become so focused on one thing that you lose track of other, equally important things.
