It is too bad that just because a girl did not play on a very good team... she is ignored for All State Honors..
she did everything possible to keep her team in every match.
all the coaches she played against know how good she is.... she made her DAD proud.
Hopefully next year....Michele Arave

well, there is a simple solution..... transfer her......

Levu DAD

I dont think it is right how my daughter is the best in the state and she only gets honorable mention for it. She has offers all around the country to go play volleyball and she doesnt even make it to first team.

Mabey she is not the best in the state. Parents sometimes look at there daughter or son as being the best they may not be but in the parents eye they are. That is nice that she has offers but that does not make her the best.

hey levu dad are you caitlin's dad. caitlin who goes to cottonwood?

GO RIVERTON

The riverton girls definently deserve every award they get they worked hard all season long and it paid of with a Region championship title. You girls had an amazing season congratulations!!!

I think it's important for all to know that the COACHES vote for all-state honors. And even then, they can't vote for their own team.

Uintah Basin girls and everyone else who worked extra hard congrats!!!!

All-state should be evaluated by more than coaches. and it shouldn't have such a big emphasis on how good the team does. It should be by stats or something.

Well the team I play for didn't make it past the first day at state yet...somehow....I made it.

Well I think that more scouts should come down to the Basin because there are so many girls with a lot of potential and they aren't even given a chance to show it. I think it's the coaches job to talk to scouts and get their players noticed but that just doesn't seem to happen and it really upsets me. Ever since 6th grade, I had always imagined going to college and playing volleyball. That was and still is all I want to do in my life. I don't know what I will do if I can't do what I love since my coach won't help me and I know it's too hard to do this on my own. I made All-region but that's not enough to get my noticed and other girls as well. I just thought I would post this and see if anyone had a response.

YA.....tell me about it. I know exactly what ya mean...you have a coach who thinks that you are good they tell ya everyday to work hard, but what is there to work for if you don't get noticed for all your hard work?
