One more reason not vote for this flip-flopper. I'll never exchange my service in the Church for service to the nation. It just won't budge.

They are not mutually exclusive Tai. Have you never read the Book of Mormon(King Benjamin, Pahoran, etc.)or heard of Reed Smoot or Ezra Taft Benson serving in the U S Govt. as apostles? Or are you just an Obama supporter?

Tai H. is right. Ezra Taft Benson was much more of a conservative than Mitt Romney. Ideologically, he was even more to the right than the President (Eisenhower) who appointed him. Elder Benson opposed the system of government price supports and aid to farmers which he was entrusted by Eisenhower to administer, arguing that it amounted to unacceptable socialism. Thats a great example of an Apostle standing up for the Church against the Goverment, as communism is a secret combination.

George Romney campaigned against Barry Morris Goldwater in 1964 during the Republican Primary. He ran against Richard Nixon for Republican Ticket in 1968 and lost. When Nixon gave in to some of Romneys ideas, it prompted George Wallace to run against Nixon as a third-party candidate, representing the true conservatives of the South. And yes, Governor Wallace did ask Elder Benson to be his running mate.

Reed Smoot would not give in to the Government. Mitt Romney is quite the opposite. He will say anything to get elected depending upon the air temperature of his audience conservative or liberal. I do not think he is even comparable to the statesman that Fred Thompson is or that Mike Huckabee is.

Liberalism runs in the Romney family. His mother, Lenore, was a pro-abortion feminist and his father was a supporter of the ERA and Martin King. He also protested the Vietnam War.

Between the 12 years of Carter and Clinton, this nation must go forward. It cannot go back. We cannot afford another liberal president - such as Romney or Barrack Obama. Even George W. Bush tinkered with liberalism when he nominated Harriet Meyers. He (Bush) lost my support when he did that. This nation must go forward with Mike Huckabee.
