Utah businesses ask Gov. Huntsman to fight EPA effort

It would be seriously hypocritical of Huntsman to do this, in light of the fact he's on prime time TV commercials with other governors urging congress to act on global warming.

Don't be surprised

One has to realize that the only thing politicians really care about is getting re-elected.

If the proposed EPA standards do adversely impact Utah businesses and in turn adversely affect the Governors' political prospects, then you'll see him fight it tooth and nail.

His global warming stance is all about politics, too: He can reap the political rewards of looking virtuous by calling on Congress to enact restrictions on CO2 emissions, while knowing full well they will never do it.
